i had almost forgotten what it felt like to walk in the summer rain. on a lonely light, when there's no one around, and the grass feels good until your toes. walking in the rain until your nose sniffles, and you get goosebumps. until someone eventually comes home and asks you what in God's name you are doing...
i had almost forgotten what it felt like to sit around and talk with old friends. no movie, no drugs. just a couple old friends and some old stories, and maybe some hot cocoa this time instead of jack daniels. happiness in its most raw, hedonistic form. pure unadulterated fun. the kind that makes you look back on your friends fondly, even 5 years since you last spoke to them.
i had almost forgotten what it felt like to enjoy a day off... to stay in bed even when the sun won't let your sleep anymore. to watch talk shows in bed for hours, to not go to work and take everyone else's shit. to not have to go to school and work my ass off just so someone else can be a little better, and take all the credit.
i had almost forgotten what it felt like to dance in my living room by myself. so free, so uplifting. all my favorite songs, no one to get under my toes (except my kitties). no one to pull me down into an E-puddle. no one to say "Let's sit this one out". Just me dancing in my living room, not caring what anyone who glances in the window will think.
I almost forgot what it felt like to stay up late, in bed next to the person you love. no sex, no tv. just the company and endless conversation between 2 people who are always too busy to just... talk. to learn something new about someone you thought you knew inside and out. to find out they are hurting inside, and you were too caught up in your own troubles that you didnt notice. to hear them say i love you without being prompted. to reminisce about perfect nights, and first kisses, and falling in love. and i'm lying, i HAVE forgotten what this feels like. but i would give anything to have someone show it to me again.

"...there are 2 paths, you can go back, but in the long run... there's still time to change the road you're on..."

I think we all miss moments like this. The best times I have ever had was sitting around with old friends, drinking tea, and talking about our glory days in school.
One day, you will find someone to show you those moments again, to pick you up when you are down. They will help create new memories and moments you can forever hold on to.
I really liked this. Thank you very much for sharing.

Wow..that's all I can say. I've had a few days like that. Nothing feels better than to come back and find things you missed and truly enjoy them. Summer being full of drugs, sex, and parties. It's quite nice to just enjoy life and truly understand some REAL happiness. Much love

Beutiful and I think u have some recollection of what those memories were like because u labeled them so well much love :-)

those are the times that are speciaL to us in which we "reminisce the past" as well as "Dreamin about the future" i miss the days when i was littLe and runnin around as well as the old friends and my ex boyfriends [well the time i shared with them which was special] and all. i think what we really need to do is relive it again if we could
