People discussing the pharmacology of bodybuilding often tout that estradiol should be as high as you can tolerate for the reason that it transports IGF-1 to tissues providing more net-anabolism systemically,
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
For example this study indicates that estrogen causes activation of IGF-1 signaling and increases IGF-1 expression
However lately its been brought to my attention that increased estrogen levels cause a supression in circulating IGF-1 levels within the body
This makes the evidence conflicting though, should one be more concerned with keeping estrogen levels lower if using GH to maximize the expression of IGF-1? Would love some more input
Estrogen receptor alpha rapidly activates the IGF-1 receptor pathway - PubMed
Estrogen and insulin-like-growth factor 1 (IGF-1) are potent mitogenic stimuli that share important properties in the control of cellular proliferation. However, the coupling between the signaling cascades of estrogen receptors alpha and beta and the IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R) is poorly understood...

These might not be the best studies as they talk about exogenous estradiol administration. However I couldnt find the original source someone linked me on estrogen blunting IGF-1This makes the evidence conflicting though, should one be more concerned with keeping estrogen levels lower if using GH to maximize the expression of IGF-1?
