So, I watched "The Secret" last night and it was an interesting documentary.

However, after looking up most of the ppl on that movie, besides Jack Canfield, they are ppl who are selling books/programs/videos that tell you the "secrets" to the law of attraction.

To me, I would like to believe it, but that fact most ppl associated with the movie want to SELL me stuff relating to The Law of Attraction makes me pessimistic to say the least.

In a sense, they aren't lying- The Law of Attraction DID make them rich in the sense they made their millions off of selling stuff about the very subject!

However, in a simplistic way, I do see some merit- but not in the psuedoscientific ways portrayed. If you can manage to keep a positive attitude at all times, your mind will be more clear to make better decisions and you will likely live a happier life.

But, I don't know if I believe the whole "brain as a magnet thing...

What do ya'll think?

It's a scam in the sense in that this information has been around for thousands of years and these people are prepackaging it and selling to and for the layman as something new. I do believe it works up to a point, but it is just simple psychology there is nothing "secret" about it. I would never pay for this information.

The wise notion of "there's no such thing as a free lunch" evidently hasn't been heard by everyone.
