The Vatican has said a lot of things that are questionable since Vatican II and especially since Francis ascended to the Papacy. He is changing Church positions to popularize it but will it work? The vaccine doesn't make much sense for young people without comorbidities. Especially since it doesn't stop the spread at all, maybe a little in the short run, but that is pointless in the long run.

Don't know why the US is enforcing it on the military, it's pretty dumb as I'm very sure there are quite a bit of antivaxxers in there. But then again, they're just nuts about COVID, you still need to be fully vaccinated to travel to NA, while you can just go and stand just about everywhere else in the world.
