I take 6 mgs of xanax a day, I used to be on 8 mgs of xanax a day. This isn't that much of a dose if you have a high tolerence, I don't even use xanax recreationally. Just think about people that have been on the shit for several years. The doc isn't a crook, other drs are just pussies cause of the DEA. Its a lot easier to undertreat someone ELSE's disorder when you don't experience their pain.

LOL. Just thought I'd comment that, before reading the post I knew it dealt with Xanax because I've been an addict to it before, and am on 6.5mg right now just to stay nice and toasty. I gotta taper.
 
Nice read, to bad she didnt go further into her oxy run, and than end the article by describing the hell she went thru getting off. The article makes me want to take xanax, unfortunetly I am out but I have my trusty klonpin on hand.

Yeah, RECCOMENDS. A reccomendation from a large group of doctors is irrelevent when we are talking about how much you can actually take max. This amount is pretty much unknown. As you could INJECT 700mg and not die. You could probably take much more than this. Scientists have injected rats, or guinea pigs (forgot which one) with 954 times the regular human dosage, and they survived. These things are how much smaller than us?

The RECCOMENDED dosage is in regards to theraputic, clinical use for non-tolerant subjects.
 
Actually, the PDR DOES pecify doses for "naive" and "tolerant" individuals. NDW, we've all agreed her doc should be in jail, or at least lose his DEA license.
. You can give up to 20mg clonazepam for seizure disorder. Would you go this route right away I'm glad you're not my doc. Or I wish you were. Hard to say.
 
i just got prescribed adderall. When they up the dosage does it cost more? I would assume so but I just want to make sure
 
Just want to throw in that I knew a severely bi-polar girl who was prescribed xanax, klonopin, and ritalin, so it's not that far out. The ritalin was supposed to be to give her motivation through the day. And a lot of this story reminded me of the girl, until she started talking about puking when prozac and zoloft was mentioned. This smells like propaganda to me.
 
6mg Xanax a day is NOT that outrageous! When I was on 3mg a day, I could eat chew down 5 or 6 pills and not be too out of it. If you're suffering from severe anxiety, it certainly provides relief and gives you an opportunity to work on your problems. If your anxiety is under control and you continue taking huge doses, it does start to zap your motivation and slow down your thinking.

Yeah the story is definitely modified to fit the media, but it is not essentially unheard of.

I went through a very similar (but more reasonable, dosage-wise) situation (on the grounds of being bipolar). I convinced my family doctor to prescribe me Bromazepam, Triazolam, and Dexedrine all at once.

It ended up in a heart-attack and emotional damage to all my family.

She didn't say they were better. She is just stating that she started out with 1mg Xanax (blue footballs) and moved up to 2mg Xanax (the bars) and continued to increase her Xanax dosage over time. That's all.

yeah but earlier in the article she mentioned moving up from the blue football shaped bars.... maybe she got the 1mg's mixed up with 2mg and thought hers were 20mg? i dunno...but she only had 17 bars... i kno lots of people who can eat 4 bars a day like she was doing any work and go to school and function, she mentioned bi-polar disorder and IMO giving someone with bi-polar disorder one of the most addictive benzos and then on top of that an endless supply of speed is not the best idea.... and we saw exactly why when she first got the Rx filled...
 
hahaha 450mg of dextro/lyso amphetamine in 10 minutes? that would give a small donkey a heart attack! If she's exaggerating that much about the adderall then she must be lying about the xanny's as well.

They meant 17 bars @ 2 mgs a piece which is 34 mgs. I believe the 340, was just a typo... but maybe not. The fact there is no discussion of withdrawl or the person going to cop on the street makes me wonder how true the whole story is... However, many aspects sound similar to my behavior when I was having an issue abusing xanax....
