The horrific state now of those homeless on the high street

I really feel now for the homeless as they seem to be in an all time terrible state. I have seen paramedics attending to several recently in town and last night I saw a guy collapsed and puking out loads of blood.

A lot of them are coughing up and seeming on the point of collapsing. When you get close to some they absolutely reek of stale piss.

Are we in the midst of some terrible health crisis? There seems to be little in the media about this, even locally. Or is this the usual summer time, fair weather addicts letting loose?

It's truly disgusting that some drunk yob types must think it amusing to piss all over sleeping homeless persons and the stench that they then have to walk around with is terrible.

One old guy joined a queue behind me at a supermarket and I swear to god he stank like the foulest public toilet you could ever imagine. One that's never been cleaned. I didn't know at the time about the thing with people pissing on homeless people, and so was inwardly judging the guy for reeking that foul. Obviously it's generally far from easy for homeless people to change or wash their clothes and get a shower etc if they dont get admitted to hostels. It seems that many with the worst drink or drunks problems dont want to go to any hostels seeing as drugs and drink are forbidden and they don't want to have to go without.
