I never did give you guys the results of my Covid-19 test. Negative, somehow. Even though my friend / roommate here wa positive and I felt sick for a bit.

Anyway my blood pressure and heart rate has been sky high all year, I am to monitor it myself at home now. Just got this bad boy (and here's the latest)

The HR is normal for me but if that BP goes to 175 or more I am to check myself in in case I have a stroke.

I am dead ass sober and have been for awhile now. Not even Vyvanse the last few days since Im out of that. Going to be requesting daily fills instead of weekly or biweekly next time I see my doc to regulate that.

So not sure what the point is here for this thread except to whine I guess lol. This isn't exactly cool though, I'm still a pretty young guy and my health is absolutely getting wrecked even as I'm sobering up. I'm on this stupid injection abilify thats absolutey knocked me on my ass feeling sick and tired too.

Usually I've had some good energy to chat here, hang out, play guitar, write, be awake, whatever. Now I'm getting "healthy" and I feel like, and my vitals are shit. They say it gets worse before it gets better right? Hope that is the case.

Make sure you sit down for at least 5/10 mins before taking your BP. Don’t be moving when taking it. Try to breathe normally. Also take it 3 times and it should show it better.

That is a high BP reading. I would love to know your cholesterol levels. Have you hypertension in your family?

I've been pretty relaxed, been pretty muc looking like this guy the last 3-4 days all the time.

😎

No idea for cholesterol levels right now but no history of hypertension I'm aware off. My doc is chalking it up to chronic meth abuse for me.

If you’ve high BP it’s always best getting a cholesterol level check.

It probably is the meth, but it’s always best to have a work up done.

Yeah in an otherwise healthy bloke, it’s totally the meth. It will take time and not taking anything else cardiotoxic but the heart damage is potentially reversible.

Some good news for you:

montclair kimberley academy

Hope you feel better :)

That is usually what happens. Takes seeing numbers on health reports before you start to worry.

If you are still smoking cigarettes, drop those immediately. Should drop it 10 points at least within 72 hours.

Perhaps just short easy walks for now to get some blood flow going.

At this point, if you ever smoke meth again you are just giving your body the middle finger. Same goes for smoking a cigarette.

Exactly what I was talking about in that other thread. Another 5-10 years of this, its unlikely you will make it (without severe issues). Must clean up.

Meth was giving me some high blood pressure so I researched on natural ways to lower it and I found out Coconut pills, which are in the vitamin section, work. I bought some, started taking em, and never had anymore problems really.

That is wild!

I have been OCD on my vitals these past 30 days or so with my BP and EKG thingie. My bottom number stays the same too always. Never saw such variance like yours, though.

If you have a few bucks to spend. Its supposed to tell you if you will die soon -

Maybe they will give you some catapress or something to calm you down.

I am wondering if we all just fucking have covid. Or some form of it. I tested negative twice but was sick as fuck in march. Ever since that, strange shit happening.

How about alcohol? Did you stop that too? Not withdrawing from anything I assume?
But yeah your BP is very high.

As far as I know meth is not directly cardiotoxic, though it can definitely cause damage due to high cathecolamine levels and vasoconstriction, specially with very high doses and chronic use. Maybe you have some kind of pre-existing condition as well?

Anyway, I hope it's nothing too serious...
I guess your doctor/cardiologist will have to run some tests.

So I was given high blood pressure pills.

No alcohol for a good week or so now. Started taking my antabuse again. No withdrawals from that or anything else now.

this kind of hypertension can be caused by meth use and I’ve used most of this year as a daily user. An overall history of substance use, cigarette smoking, drinking, and especially meth are really the culprit I think. I also drink energy drinks like they’re going out of style, so that’s not really too helpful either if I’m trying to keep my heart rate and BP down.

I’m doing well with drugs and alcohol now so thinking / hoping my body will recover over time. For the meantime I have til January to take it easy. Starting with a new employer in January and January 28 I restart my computer science degree. These new BP pills will help I’m sure.
