Hi everyone..I'm new here so apologies if this thread is in the wrong place or baaad in some way. I meant to join ages ago.
Want To Write About Drugs?
TheGoodDrugsGuide.com needs help. We're looking for two budding writer / researchers to help us run and write our respected website, and work on sateillite projects like our radio show...
The post is unpaid, as this is an non-profit no-income website. However, any interns would gain valuable experience and references from the professional writers and journalists who run the site. And come to our parties. Which are good.
Tasks could include:
: researching new articles
: fact-checking existing ones
: writing and updating the blog regularly
: interviewing subjects for our radio show
: answering email
: book reviews
Applicants should have an active interest in drugs. No, not just taking them. The whole spectrum: culture, science, medicine, law, spirituality, the internet, politics - all the areas which drugs impact.
Ideally we're looking for one person in the UK and one person in the US. But we're not set on that. We're also looking for a fairly regular commitment (4 hours plus week) so the job may best suit an undergraduate or similar layabout.
Above all you should be honest, reliable, creative, and thorough, with a really polite and friendly manner for talking to people about this very private area Also your veins should be thrumming with ideas juice, and your organs ache with truth. A little web / technical / HTML experience would be bonus.
Email a little bit about yourself, plus any links to stuff you've written or worked on to drugs AT thegooddrugsguide.com. Please get in touch as soon as possible, thank you.
oh and if you have killer skills editing speech radio on cubase or protools or whatever then that would be cool too...or maybe you are a documentary video editor hmmm
