had this thought while tripping: what if we had a machine that could generate new music to suit our mood and stuff?
A music generator:
three musical artists are selected and each is placed at a vertex of an equilateral triangle. the user selects a point within the triangle and the styles will be blended accordingly. Lyrical content and style can be selected specifically, as well as mood. a song will be produced with these characteristics to match the user's fancy.
sounds farfetched, for sure, but I also thought it was sort of brilliant, especially just to imagine. this template also might be useful for creating music (e.g. you pick the lyrical styles/content and mood, then try to blend major characteristics of three influential musicians--influential to YOU, I mean.)
hell, you could even do an art generator for any type of art: visual artwork, poetry, music, etc. and instead of changing lyrical style/content and mood, you could change themes and motifs. just a wacky little thought I had
