had this thought while tripping: what if we had a machine that could generate new music to suit our mood and stuff?

A music generator:

three musical artists are selected and each is placed at a vertex of an equilateral triangle. the user selects a point within the triangle and the styles will be blended accordingly. Lyrical content and style can be selected specifically, as well as mood. a song will be produced with these characteristics to match the user's fancy.

sounds farfetched, for sure, but I also thought it was sort of brilliant, especially just to imagine. this template also might be useful for creating music (e.g. you pick the lyrical styles/content and mood, then try to blend major characteristics of three influential musicians--influential to YOU, I mean.)

hell, you could even do an art generator for any type of art: visual artwork, poetry, music, etc. and instead of changing lyrical style/content and mood, you could change themes and motifs. just a wacky little thought I had :p

This is very cool man. I have these type of thoughts when tripping too....this one will be in all bedrooms by the year 2032. I want voice generators that simulate our favs...could have new beatles albums, new nirvana albums, anything.

That would be sooooo sick. I personally would like some shit by Hendrix or the Doors, hell, anything. And since Outkast has unofficially decided to NEVER make a goddamn album again (at least it seems that way) I'd even like to simulate some of that.

Idk, it would just be sweet.

True. I mean, it isn't like those groups don't already have shit tons of music available, but still.

And 13 Floors/Growing Old = the shit.

they all babylon&on&on -

yes it is, "you see autumn cought'em, now those leaves must fall down growing ollld"

"its him in i - aquemini"

"fast living will get you took,
thinking it can't happen to you and then it do
off crooked schemes its just a dream
floating face down in the mainstream"

Mainstream

but yeah...

This is already done if you understand how digital music works and writing your own algorithims....
