We aren't irrelevant. We made the Lord of the Rings trilogy... and, um, Flight of the Conchords... and... and... um... we were the first country in the world to give women the right to vote (I probably should have thought of that before Flight of the Conchords).

Plus we have sheep. Like, lots and lots of sheep.

How dare you insult our ridiculous accents!

Lord of the rings was boring! There I said it!

As for giving women the vote, as I said NZ is awesome. Just not relevant.

But that's OK. You shouldn't wanna be relevant. Relevancy means you're big, which means you are more likely to become corrupt. You're better off small and innocent. :)

You really do gotta work on those accents though. It's like razor wire for the ears!

Yeah, I'm actually happy to be irrelevant. Despite being racist and xenophobic, those comments didn't offend me. I'd much rather be off the radar, as you say. It's more the toxic intention of the comments (combined with many other bits and pieces) that bothers me. At the end of the day, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Like the rest of the world, I have grown accustomed to arrogant xenophobic comments from certain Americans.

It was just a polite request to be a bit more respectful and inclusive of other cultures. I don't like the idea that you or I are less welcome to comment on US politics because we don't live there. To some extent, I think it's easier to see certain things from an outsiders perspective.

Let's forget about it and move on. (y)

I didn't like it either.
Too much walking.

Don't tell the prime minister, or I'll get deported.

You may be on to something. It sure seems like outsiders have a clearer vision of the national act of self harm that is brexit than many British people do. :p

I for one am not gonna let anyone tell me I have to live in America to have an opinion on American politics. I'm an American, I have family who are Americans and live in America. It matters to me what happens to America and to people I love who live there.

And even if none of that were the case, one way or the other this election will have a substantial impact on the peace and prosperity of the entire world for decades to come. If that's not justification for an opinion I don't know what is.

There's literally another thread in another part of bluelight where in the last few days an Australian attacked me for saying I think Australia should have a bill of rights when I'm American. While here I get told I shouldn't have a view on trump because I'm an Australian.

That is VERY frustrating. It happens in real life too, I've been told in real life by Australians that I'm American and shouldn't involve myself in Australian politics.

It's all horseshit. It's just a tactic used by some people to justify silencing opinions they don't want to hear.

Why is Russians definitely stealing the election from Trump so believable..
but fraud in this election is nonsense?
You realize that there is proven evidence of fraud - the question is whether it's widespread or not.

Hard evidence of widespread voter irregularity:

I'm not sure what this means except the difference between ... x (all voters, Democrats, Republicans...?) ...

Actually, carefully read what that says. It doesn't even make sense. And it's including what people claimed they did...

And who is the source for this?

I've seen no proven evidence of fraud. Best I've seen is evidence of vote counting errors the likes of which is expected.

Apparently judges aren't seeing it either cause they keep throwing out team trumps cases.

To be honest, I really thought Trump would be able to find better and more solid evidence than what he’s found so far. I’m pleasantly surprised so far.

I didn't. I didn't expect there to be any real evidence, so I'm not surprised they haven't found any.

The only thing I'd say I'm at all surprised by is just how baddly they're doing at even representing their argument. But I suppose I shouldn't be. If they get proper lawyers those lawyers will explain the problems they face, which means they won't be telling trump what he wants to hear. It will be impossible to work with him and they will and up leaving or being fired.

Resulting in only terrible representation like guliani.

Honestly it's so bad that even if there really were evidence of widespread fraud, they're so incompetent I wouldn't be surprised if they still found a way to lose.

In 2000 bush got an excellent legal team to fight to win when only a few hundred votes stood between him and the big chair.

I'm this case there's tens of thousands of votes and multiple states in his way and trump is such a narcissist that he can't help wind up with a completely useless legal team.

I think all the reputable and good lawyers don't want to ruin their reputation dealing with any of this once they see the "evidence", so he's stuck with the likes of Giuliani.

And, for $20,000/day, I'm not even sure what to say about his press conference today.

It's all becoming cringe worthy.

Of course. It's impossible to work with team trump unless you're basically a yes man.

Something that has become very apparent is that trump can't function in any environment where rational people have the ability to say no to him.

And unfortunately for him, judges CAN say no to him.

Georgia confirms Biden victory and finds no widespread fraud after statewide audit

Georgia has finished its statewide audit of the razor-thin presidential race, confirming that President-elect Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump, according to a news release from the Secretary of State's office.

Biden beat Trump by 12,284 votes, according to the final results from the audit. This is a slight drop for Biden compared to the pre-audit results.

Officials have said repeatedly that the audit confirmed there was no widespread fraud or irregularities in the election.

Source for what? There's fraud being found in a number of different areas. Dead people voting, people voting twice, mathematically improbable number of votes for only one candidate appearing via mail in the middle of the night in key swing states, Dominion voting systems directly flipping votes from Trump to Biden + much more. I think they've gone a little bit too far this time in their desperate attempts to remove Trump.

Isn't it strange how any fraud uncovered somehow always shows that it hurt Trump votes?

People forget that after 2016 election Jill Stein ordered a recount of Michigan and received millions of dollars from upset Hillary supporters but when the recount showed that they were finding more votes for Trump the recount was quickly nixed. Democrats claimed there was extensive fraud (or "interference") by foreign and domestic agents in the electoral process in 2016 yet Hillary didn't call for any recounts or investigation into fraud. That doesn't make sense so I wonder why?

Probably because they tried to cheat and still lost. This time they cheated successfully but it wasn't really successful because the fraud is so obvious. So this might actually be the best-case scenario and one of the reasons that I value the Trump presidency, is due to him exposing and bringing so much corruption out into the open just by him existing. He wasn't really supposed to win, and then they wanted him gone, so in the process they keep slipping up. The only reason it's still going is because the media is covering up for them. But look how many viewers Fox are losing since they also became complicit in covering up potential widespread voter fraud. Even a sizable number of Democrats don't think that Trump should concede, according to a poll. Because many people would prefer that Trump win as opposed to the entire electoral process being exposed as fraudulent.

As long as Trump convinces his zombies that there is a conspiracy and he goes out fighting the "evils of the left-wing", he will ensure that his career prospects are bright. I suspect this election fraud stuff is all strategy and that he is going to make a fortune post-presidency. He should open a rival network to Fox News. I've noticed he has increasingly distanced himself from them in the lead up to the election. Right wingers in the US don't have a major network anymore. The president keeps tweeting about how Fox ratings are down. Throughout his presidency, he has systematically destroyed the credibility of every single news corporation. They are all fake news now, including Fox. All Trump needs to do is prove some level of electoral fraud (which he already has). He didn't need much. The right were already eager to believe before he had anything. They are more than willing to believe anything he says. He has them hypnotized. Now all he has to do is start a network. Getting investment money won't be a problem. People throw money at him. Once he controls right wing news, he will be on track for 2024.

For this. And other statements like it. I'm saying, the stuff you posted, and Twitter link, are not sources. They're people saying stuff. people can say anything on the Internet, you need to have a real source. I'm sure if you are wrapped in a social media bubble, it appears self-evident because all you see is people saying all this stuff you're saying. That is not the same as a real source. And you know this, mannnn.
