Bullshit. It was only 4 years ago trump won. I don't recall Obama or Clinton behaving like trump is today. I don't recall any president in my lifetime behaving like trump does. It's a complete disgrace and an embarrassment.

The excuses people come up with to justify or excuse trumps behavior is astounding.

thanks which ever moderator it was for editing this post so that the original meaning was lost. The point is that Trump suppoertes may indeed be harboring delusions but this is no different to anyone else.

I never argued all trump voters are delusional, but.. To paraphrase trumps lawyer. A nonzero number of them possibly are. :P

The way I understand it, the states have to certify their votes. This may take a week or two.
From there, they know the state senate members (?) who determine the electors.
From there, the electoral college members cast their respective votes and a president is named = this isn't until mid December, at best.

All of the above is without courts hearing lawsuits about fraud, which of course can add to the time required....or may change a 'winner' after the fact.

Therefore, all the cries about Trump not conceding, or gov't officials (R's in congress or on Trump's staff) not congratulating Biden on the win (one of the MSMs, I think Fox, has a running list of who in Congress has NOT congratulated Biden)...all those cries are moot at this point in time. Nothing is decided, other than MSM going off on what they believe the outcome will be. Just because they say it, doesn't mean it's fact. Actually, if they say it, count on it being fake, as evidenced of their last decade or so of 'news' stories :\

I'm not sure that's how this works. Is that even possible? It's certainly illogical that anyone can pardon themselves, so this just seems absurd. If true, wouldn't be the most absurd thing proven true this era.

How many of the states allow faithless electors? I think last time Trump got 2 less electoral college votes than should have gone to him due to faithless electors. Prty members voting the wrong way based on their party allegiance.
With a result as close as this faithless electors become important and it could go either way more wait and see I guess.
 
Nixon was actually pardoned by his successor President Ford as I recall. Which means he didn't pardon himself.

So if trump did, take that for what it's worth.

Except he already signed a sworn affidavit recanting his story. Let him get up and commit perjury in court.. Very different than making youtube videos.

It's starting to look more likely that trump may actually have to be dragged out by the secret service. I wonder how many of the higher ups backing trump are just pretending to for the sake of having people of sound mine still in the game for when the day comes to help deal with the removal.

I still don't think that'll happen.

Trump's a narcissist but it's not stupid. Not that stupid anyway. He knows he can't win if Bidens really the winner of the election.

He's just resisting until there's no going back. Probably the electoral college vote mid next month, or the certification process soon after that.

At which point, I suspect he will stop resisting, tell his people to cooperate. And knowing he's done that will be as much concession as we get.

I can't see trump fighting to stay once he sees that there's really no chance left. That will happen weeks from now but also weeks before Jan 20.

Exactly. As a matter of fact what the Trump campaign is saying seems extremely different to what his lawyers are saying.

Guess you're less likely to lie when you could lose your license to practice law and when the judge can throw you in jail for contempt and perjury.
 
interesting... the Pennsylvania postal worker who claimed election fraud is in erie county, pa.

president trump beat hillary clinton in 2016 by ~3000 votes. in 2020, biden beat president trump by ~2000 votes. i wonder if this had anything to do with it:

The hatred for Trump is absolutely astounding. I have never witnessed such a widespread hatred of a man who has committed no crime.

While no one can list a single policy Trump has created, signed, or abolished that they dislike or disapprove of.

The hatred of Trump is entirely uneducated, unfounded, and unreasonable.

What, you hate Trump because he isn't a good public speaker? Because he says dumb things? Sometimes acts like a child?

What you look for in a president:

1. Upholds the constitution
2. Isn't a sell out

What you don't care about in a president:

1. Ability to speak
2. Dumb things they've said
3. Ect.

It's like you people are looking for a house wife from a prostitute? Donald isn't supposed to be your friend or your favorite super hero... He's the president for fk sake

Yea yea, it will happen soon. It's been happening soon my entire life. And I have it on good authority that it was happening soon long before I was born.

First time I remember it happening soon was y2k. I woulda been about 10-12 then.

Then 9/11,and it was happening soon. Then we had the financial crisis. Still happening soon.

And the whole 2012 Mayan crap, still soon.

And I'm sure society will be about to collapse for many more years to come.
