now you have struggled and the donkeys have prevailed and are in the donkey promised land of milk and honey or panem et circensis with nary an elephant in sight.

In some cases I'd agree that there isn't necessarily a huge difference between the parties, but in this instance, given that trump is amoral scum, the choice couldn't be more clear. Do we really want a Qanon believing hack in charge?!?

I suspect what will actually happen is more of a sick joke where it appears Biden has won but Trump still winds up back in the white house. That's much more in line with my experience.

I'm afraid that might happen too but don't think it's very likely but still possible.

Honestly I'm surprised how large Biden's lead is; I assumed that the gap was going to be allot narrower and that Trump was going to end up leading for at least a while; glad I was wrong.

Sadly last election my prediction that Hillary would win the popular vote but lose the electoral college came true.



At least Trump will be too focused on his fake fraud bs to fuck around with any policy issues during the end of his term.

Id actually be a lot more worried about the immediate future if trump loses. If trump feels he has nothing to lose he will could become a lot more dangerous.
 
If he loses Trump is going to be far busy persuading Deutsche Bank to keep giving him loans and an overdraft to avoid bankruptcy, whilst Kushner is going to be trying to work out how to persuade the Emiratis to keep bankrolling his property empire.
The President actually has very little personal power, the blob that goes with the president has the power, the blob will be busy hiding the loot.

I find it interesting, depending upon how this goes, that when the final results are in, the polls may not have been as far off as we all originally thought this year.

Unlikely. Once power is gone, it’s gone. His son is an ass. (Both of them.) I’d like to think people just humor the Trump kids because of who their daddy is, and that once he’s out they are out. 😕

Maybe it’s wistful thinking, but my hope is that Trump’s cult of personality ends with his presidency, or at least that the presidency is the apex of his influence.

Plus I hope he’s prosecuted to the hilt for all of his corruption and malfeasance.

I was once again expecting it, but I'm still surprised that Trump had the gall to, again, falsely claim that he won the election. Just let the votes get counted ffs.

I can't express just how absurd and disgusting it is that Trump could lose by 4 million votes, not exactly a small margin to put it mildly, and still become a two term president. How about we become an actual democracy and ABOLISH THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE!!!!
 
Once again, I can't believe what a percentage of the population is totally ignoring the president's attempts to throw out a bunch of the votes cast by American citizens. We always have mail-in ballots and they're always counted, it's just how it is. Yes, there are more thing time. So what? To throw away uncounted votes is straight up some authoritarian stuff. Fortunately we're not so gone as a society where that attempt actually worked, but we have a president who is trying to do it. So far it's been radio silence on that issue from Trump supporters. Can't imagine they would be silent about Biden doing that, or Obama. Why is it okay if Trump does it?

I was at the gym and Trump started his press conference, and with no audio on the TV all I could see was CNN's headlines , they really helped me get a good exercise in.
