She's been up since five o'clock
It's nearly dinner now
She's helped the blokes to mend the fence
And twice milked every cow
The sunlight burns upon her back
She mops the sweat away
She's harrowed all the paddocks
And shes baled most of the hay
Her well-fed horses snort and graze
Sheep dot the hills nearby
She's weary but content
To watch the evening pass her by
She's just a humble farmer girl
Yet diligent and grand
For happiness is something
That she's found within her land
