According to the thread you linked to, anything less than a couple of hundred quid is going to be really unreliable.

Sigh. Jealous.
I weigh about 70kg, so not really on the hefty side. Will give it one more go at a higher 80mg dose.
Any known cross tolerances that might be doing this? I'd had a spot of MDMA the week before my 50mg AMT session, and every now and then I do 200mg or so of Mephedrone. Would this dull the magic?
Anything is better than nothing. I have a scales I bought for 79 quid, it is reliable. to a degree. Just be careful and weigh things twice or three times rather than trusting the first result.
Pubs and off-licenses sell alcohol a drug where the patron has to drink a substantial volume to get drunk and besides, it's already served in yhandy measuring devices. As for selling to people who are gettting drunk, this would depend on just how drunk, drunk is. I would critisicise a barman for serving someone who is absolutely shitfaced and I have seen it many times.
Do you criticise off licenses, and pubs for serving alcohol to people who are getting drunk?
Come one now. Nicotine, while highly addictive, hardly causes the same extreme changes in behaviour as other drugs.

I think we should steer this discussion away from who should and shouldn't be allowed to take drugs and back to aMT.

Good idea. I have found that around 25-50mg gives pleasant stimulation similar though not identical to MDMA with the psychedelic element getting rather strong closer to 50mg. Doses higher than 50mg are very likely to be highly psychedelic.When I consider the psychedelia, I always found it strange that aMT is the tryptamine analogue of amphetamine.

The euphoria part of the amt comes from lots of serotonin and dopamine release - md or m1 before would deplete the amounts of neurotransmitters somewhat - but a little md/m1 shouldn't make a massive difference.
To get the best from the amt i suppose you should have at least a week off sertonergic/dopaminergic stuff first (though i can't often manage to wait this long).
Also i think tolerance to psychedelics aren't necessarily directly linked to weight - just the different hardware/software of our brains (our unique neuro-wiring) can vary tolerances ime - i'd say creep your doses up until you get the euphoria (or decide you just don't like it).

I'm actually worried that the vendor I got this from has gave me more than the 250mg I ordered lol. Normally I'd be over the moon if this happened but I was going to just eyeball it into 5 piles, which would be around 50mg each. My scales are fucked & tbh I'm not going to buy another 20 quid set of 0.001 scales because every time I have they've either been absolutely fucking shite (eg bouncing between 0.025 to 0.150 when something is put on them) or they've broke after a few weeks. Usually both.
Anyway, what's the worst that can happen if you accidentally double your dose of amt? Is it a horrible trip or a horrible trip to the hospital? I'll take the chance on the first one.

Eyeballing is never accuarte as similar looking piles can vary in weight. If you have to though, aim for a lowish dose (20-25mg) then doubling that is still a safe dose (not mind-shattering, and never horrible ime) - then you can make a guess as what weight you took (or just judge what you want next time relative to the first go) - at worst you'll get a mild 20mg trip (still nice) and you'll have got used to the substance.

What happens if you take 100mg of amt? Is that still a safe dose but just a bit too wild? Or is it a death dose?
Sorry man but that means absolutely fuck all. No indication of the amount taken & all it really says is "I freaked out, cunts took me to hospital, I was OK though". So to me all that would happen is I'd sit in my mate's house freaking out, I wouldn't get taken to hospital, I'd trip out my face & laugh about it the next day.

Hey guys,
Am trying AMT for the first time this weekend. I have done my fair share within the psychedelics field, however was just wondering what any of your experiences have been, and what ROA you have used.
I have looked on erowid and it gives dosages for both oral and smoked. Have any of you used both methods and have a preference?
Also how would you compare it to other psycs? Which is it most similar to; acid, 2cX?
Any information greatly appreciated

I ate it. Can't remember the dose. It was fucking rotten. Horribly long come-up, during which I was sick twice, & not that great a dunt imo. Heavily over-rated.

Every time I have taken it has been an entirely different experience, ranging from horrid (felt uncomfy, threw up, sat outside tent at festival for hours as zero energy and just felt gross) to gorgeously psychedelic (high dose plugged) to a lush MDMA-esque empathogen (high dose IV - DO NOT DO THIS). Smoking seems to be more stimmy, less psychedelic. Plugged cuts down on nausea for me, I only really feel sick if I eat it. Low dose gives me nice mood lift all day. Mid dose is the least pleasant IME but def don't go for a really high dose first time - as PTCH said it can be icky for some people..
There's an aMT thread somewhere or other. I'll try and dig it out. I think I made my BL debut in that thread as it happens. And then promptly got accused of being a vendor / shill in true EADD fashion.

Yep. After battling through the horrible come-up I started tripping slightly so I thought "Here we go, the bad bit's over. Let's have some fun" but I ended up just wishing it would fuck off.
I can see why people might not like it, and I'm 100% with Effie on the dosage being crucial and mid-doses potentially getting annoying.
I've had some great times on it though - I remember one time taking it with my girlfriend of the time (who didn't partake) and she seemed to get a 'contact high' to the extent that a friend (again non-paraking) said we were both glowing. I only ever got nauseous the first time I tried it, but admittedly that nausea seemed to last forever and blighted the experience a little.
Keep the expectations low, along with the starting dose, and it can be a worthwhile drug. Don't expect it to be acid, mushrooms or 2Cx though, because it just ain't.

Occasional Mrs Shambles got a contact high from text messages alone. Even by my swirlsome state standards they were somewhat

Other than that I agree with most of the above: pleasing at low dose for general moodlift, uberlushy at higher doses (probably best compared to extended candyflipping, I'd say) but can be pretty shithouse in the midrange. Or great. YMMV and all that.
As for ROA, oral can often be horrid but definitely isn't as bad for everyone as its reputation would have you believe. Vaped is nice but emphasises the stimmy side over the swirlyswirls (although has plenty of those too) so not to all tastes (also, it only works if you have freebase or can be arsed to convert whatever salt you have - most aMT isn't sold in freebase form). Plugged is by far the best ROA really - reduces come-up time by a decent amount and massively cuts down on gutrot.

Quality also seems to vary greatly from batch to batch and vendor to vendor. If both are good then all should be very good though. If not... YMMV and all that.
