What happened to Divine Moments? Seems he's off the mod list? Hope all is cool.. He started this thread.

^ This is good to hear, did anyone end up hearing back from Mr. Blonde, as someone I consider a friend in RL it's upsetting to have not heard from him in half a year now.

unfortunately not.
which is very, very concerning.
you knew him personally?
i really hope he is ok; i too have been greatly disturbed by his sudden absence from bluelight.

^It isn't the first time. Most likely his is getting himself sober again and studying hard, something he said BL makes hard for him.

@spacejunk
Yes I knew him personally.

I know what you mean, but I would have thought he would send something to let a few people know that this was the reason for his absense. I have at times seen him tagged at places on facebook but I assume he doesn't use that either anymore as he hasn't updated in 6 months. I fear that there has been some legal reasons for him wanting to tie connections to bluelight but I have no evidence of this and this is purely speculation I just find it odd that he vanished so abruptly.
But I sure hope you're right jake.

What do you base this speculation on?
As for odd characters...there are no shortage of them around here, are there?
I don't really know what you are suggesting, but it seems pretty insensitive considering the purpose of this forum and the amount of work mr blonde has put into it.
You could show some respect...if that's not too much trouble

Hello BL,

To quickly introduce myself, I am not new here and I'm a kiwi that's been lurking around under other accounts (from which i keep forgetting the password too) since about 2006.

Anyhow I have been keeping a very close eye on the progress of Silk Road and noticed many media reports in NZ, which for a small country that's quite significant. As you may be aware our drug scene here is tight & expensive, with a disappearance of real mdma pills many years ago it ain't been the same since and even when it was around it was hugely expensive (I believe we pay some of the highest rates in the world here). So it ain't hard to see that people are getting desperate and when a market place like Silk Road pops up offering cheap drugs, it ain't surprising it's taken off here.

My 2 cents, further back in this thread someone posted a news report about how customs in NZ are intercepting 80 packages/envelopes per month all claiming to be linked to Silk Road. I don't know if it's just me, but 80 per month seems an awful lot for a population of 4.5 million people and a website that is generally still unknown amongst drug users here (or at least within my circle of friends). Has customs suddenly forgot about the handfuls of websites that sell research chemicals, especially 6-apb and synthetic cannabinoids? I bet many if not most of the seizures are from these websites, especially since the bulk of small seizures were mostly due to these new wave of research chemicals well before Silk Road took off. I believe customs often confuse 6-apb with mdma due to them both giving the same positive result using typical reagents. As someone said earlier on, Silk Road has become the scape goat for a much larger issue and I tend to agree.

Anyhow here is the first actual news report of someone sentenced for importing 5 mdma pills, I think they got off lightly considering they were also up for a drink&driving charge.

Drug importer jailed

A 19-year-old Invercargill male was sentenced in Invercargill District Court today for importing five ecstasy tablets into the country via the internet from the Netherlands.

Isaac Patiari Teaukura Maki, IT student, appeared before Judge Michael Behrens today for importing a class B drug into New Zealand, namely methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) on or about June 28, driving with a blood alcohol level of 95mg at Queenstown on September 28 and driving with a breath alcohol level of 304mcg (under 20) on November 3.

He was sentenced to three months' community detention, six months' supervision and disqualified from driving for nine months.

Maki's lawyer Hugo Young asked for a 106 discharge without conviction but it was refused by the judge.

The police summary of facts says a parcel was intercepted by New Zealand Customs at the international mail centre at Auckland Airport on June 28.

An examination conducted by customs officials found five tablets hidden within a fluorescent light starter, it says.

A narcotics indicator test conducted on a small portion of one of the pills showed it was MDMA (or ecstasy) and stamps and franking on the parcel showed it had been sent from the Netherlands to a person called Mary Blank, the summary says.

Police made inquiries at the house the parcel had been addressed to and spoke with Maki. He admitted purchasing the tablets using an anonymous website known as Silk Road.

He said he had purchased the tablets, worth about $60, with BitCoins, which are an anonymous digital currency traded in a similar fashion to publicly listed shares, the summary says.

Maki told police the pills were for his own use and he had concocted the fake name to lessen the risk to himself, it says.

Hugo Young said Maki later committed the drink-driving offences while under stress because of the drug charge and he had not been coping.

Judge Behrens said Maki had said he imported the drugs out of curiosity.

Final thought, the reality is what's being imported into this country via mail is nothing compared to the amount of contact NT & Methamphetamine making it's way over via containers and to gangs who peddle millions of dollars worth. Oh well, perhaps the poor kid on the internet is a much easier target and portrays the message that customs are making a difference.

Was the guy in that article actually jailed? The title says so, but the article goes on to say that he got 6 months supervision and 3 months community detention and disqualified from driving for nine months. Is any of that actually jail?

You saw this article about the chick in NZ who got done importing 330 g's of mdma in december? It doesn't state SR, but who knows.

Despite it being fairly unknown in your circle of friends (mine too) Regular users often get multiple small packages opposed to large ones in bulk. And if NZ price's are similar to AUS price's for drugs people are willing to take the risk. The important thing to note is that they seized 80 packages/envelopes, not that they made 80 arrests. The annonimity of Silk Road is it's greatest asset, it's very difficult for police to make arrests although definitely not impossible, but if they were making more the article would be on that not the amount seized.

330 g's is a big import here to Aus. Even though I don't use any mail service for my drugs, if I did I definitely wouldn't risk it buying bulk.

About that news report ^

"He admitted purchasing the tablets using an anonymous website known as Silk Road."

Why admit it?
Someone could of just addressed those drugs to his house to get him in trouble ( I know thats not the case but why didnt he just say that? )

I got a PM about this and tried to search on google, but I couldn't find the actual site, the top listing is a site down for maintenance.
