The DMT (dimethyltryptamine) appreciation thread!

Last time I broke through I was shown my father and the message seemed to be that he didn't have much time left and the stick-insect beings tried to heal him but said that they couldn't do anything to help. He died last week. Thankfully, I used that time to reconcile so much with him and discuss so much about his beliefs about the afterlife, I even got to have a threshhold dos of DMT with him. It is such a blessing nd I have that wonderful molecue to thank for that.

^^ Nah, he dropped dead of a sudden heart attack, it came as a real shock. I mean he was a heavy smoker, his lungs were fucked, but we assumed he'd last another ten years at least (he was 54). I always thought it would be emphysema or cancer that got him. That's why I am so impressed with the spirit molecule, at the time I sort of wrote it off as one of those stupid tripping thoughts, but it was always at the back of my mind, hence the talks we had.
 
Plus dmt smells/tastes like shite. Sure, you get nice visuals for about ten minutes, but the smell will stay with you forever. It still comes to me every now and then and it makes me wanna vomit.
 
You simply cannot compare dimitri to ket... nice visuals?!?! wtf? the visuals are just the things that drag you into the other dimension where the insect-spirits live, that's when dimitri comes into its own. the visuals are just a distraction.
 
DMT & ketamine are simply different routes to the same place. Which route works best for you is most probably determined by a combination of genetics and psychology, but they both lead to a place where the line between you & everything else is gone and you (for the want of a better word, because 'you' is so innacurate in terms of the feeling) consist of pure thought & conciousness with no physical remnant to worry about.

Both affect the senses etc so that you're left to wander the limits of your mind & imagination, which if you think about it, are what you perceiver the universe to be. I know some people will disagree (you know who you are!), but I'm yet to see anything in the action of these two drugs that would make me think otherwise.

Saying one is better than the other only reveals things about you, not the nature of the experience
 
Well you have your thoughts on the matter & I have mine. Personally they are essentially the sme as far as I can see. Ok they might appear different, but in essense they put you at the centre, no make you the universe.

And it's at that point that all the profound things occur

PS I'm not the only one that thinks this, there's a book Eros & Thanatos (can't remember the author) that pretty much takes the same approach as I've been informed
 
Personally I don't think they are at all comparable, and i have done a lot of K.

It's simply that I've used more ketamine than DMT because DMT smoke rips the lining off my lungs an causes me to start distressed breathing while rocketing up, up and away (not pleasant). I've used heavily purified & recrystallized DMT via 'the needle' (as Sherlock Holmes would say!) and it was mighty impressive, it's just getting it to that stage is a real pain in the arse proceedure.

Once I've become the universe (now that's megalomania for you!), the rate at which infinite complexity of significance occurs is noticably faster with DMT (even with DPT) than ketamine, but essentially I find the content of it the same
 
You could always try DMT orally f&b, it's a very civilised method :)

Trouble with K for me is there's bugger all in the way of visions and even if you do see a few things they're always in black and white. I think K might have the edge when it comes to immersing yourself in a film tho.
