There was an increased risk of myocarditis at 1–7 days following the first dose of ChAdOx1 (IRR 1.76; 95% CI 1.29, 2.42), BNT162b2 (IRR 1.45, 95% CI 0.97, 2.12) and mRNA-1273 (IRR 8.38, 95% CI 3.53, 19.91), and the second dose of BNT162b2 (IRR 1.75, 95% CI 1.13, 2.70) and mRNA-1273 (IRR 23.10, 95% CI 6.46, 82.56). There was an increased risk of myocarditis at 1–7 days (IRR 21.08, 95% CI 15.34, 28.96), 8–14 days (IRR 11.29, 95% CI 7.70, 16.57), 15–21 days (IRR 5.36, 95% CI 3.24, 8.89) and 21–28 days (IRR 3.08, 95%CI 1.65, 5.75) following a positive test.

Over the 1–28 days postvaccination, we observed an association with the first dose of ChAdOx1 (IRR 1.29, 95% CI 1.05, 1.58), BNT162b2 (IRR 1.31, 95% CI 1.03, 1.66) and mRNA-1273 (IRR 2.97; 95% CI 1.34, 6.58). Following a second dose, the increased risk was much higher with mRNA-1273 (IRR 9.84, 95% CI 2.69, 36.03) compared with BNT162b2 (IRR 1.30, 95% CI 0.98, 1.72). The risk of myocarditis was increased in the 1–28 days following a SARS-CoV-2 positive test (IRR 9.76, 95% CI 7.51, 12.69).

In those aged under 40 years, we observed increased risks of myocarditis in the 1–28 days following a first dose of BNT162b2 (IRR 1.83, 95% CI 1.20, 2.79) and of mRNA-1273 (IRR 3.89, 95% CI 1.60, 9.44), after a second dose of BNT162b2 (IRR 3.40, 95% CI 1.91, 6.04) and of mRNA-1273 (IRR 20.71, 95% CI 4.02, 106.68) and following a SARS-CoV-2 positive test (IRR 4.06, 95%CI 2.21, 7.45).

The Incidence Rate Ratios above are lower for positive covid tests than for vaxxed, but then later in the study they say "in the same population, there was a greater risk of myocarditis, pericarditis and cardiac arrhythmia following SARS-CoV-2 infection" so idk if I'm just not reading it correctly, and if by "same population" they mean vaxxed and positive test, or by "same population" they me vaxxed and the positive tests are unvaxxed

Also, the variants (more severe) that existed during the study timeframe no longer exist, and current omicron variants are much less severe

Either way, 2 Moderna shots causes more myocarditis than in people who tested positive for Covid

The study didn't include Americans, but I remember for a certain amount of time in the U.S. hospitals were only testing unvaxxed patients, so if it was that way over there at any time during the study timeframe, then the data is obviously off
 
Nice , I’ll read through it when I get home, but it seems like what’s Krinks said earlier, pretty much being vaccinated and catching COVID is where you’ll have the highest risk of getting it as you kinda doubling down on the chance wheel

exactly - you're taking a chance when you get vaxxed and then another chance if and when you catch covid that the vaccine never protected you from catching - you might just have a greater chance when you catch covid....if that's his point :unsure:


some of these pro vaxx people forget to factor in the odds of not being vaxxed and not catching covid - a year ago, they were saying, that in fact, if you don't get vaccinated, you will catch covid and you will be very sick, and that hasn't happened to a lot of people

so why was the push so hard? big pharma, big government, big money

The elephant In the room is that this is about money it has always been about money and even when things inevitably change, new virus new vaccine ect. It will still be about money….the fact there are people that actually think these pharma companies or even most government officials give a shit about their health is kinda sad tbh, it’s money, everything is money at that level…if makin vaccines wernt profitable they wouldn’t make them, they would focus on something that makes money…but you know what makes vaccines even more profitable…not having to spend money on long term trials

Speaking of eyes and COVID, how weird is it that pink eye became a symptom of the later variants, my niece got a really bad case of pink eye this last round with COVID , which I think was her 3rd time getting it

I wasn't aware that it was. I remember getting pink eye as a kid once, it sucked. Hope your niece gets better soon.
