You are correct that all presidents make promises that they don't/can't keep. The problem with Trump is that he went on record with literally THOUSANDS of lies told, more lies than any other president has ever told I'm sure. Maybe if he didn't run his mouth so much people wouldn't hold him to his word and therefore call him out on lying.
