During their heyday Quaaludes were the most prescibed drug ever besides antibiotics. We as a crowd were so into them we did everything on them excluding driving. I called them courage pills for the feeling of invincability they gave you and snuck into many Grateful Dead shows wasted on them. Bowling was another fun thing to do while affected. Now comes the end of the run and the beat pills start appearing and people are oding all over the place and I say it's the governments' fault. It wasn't doctors that took it off the market hell it was a cash cow for them, no the gov't banned them and this is how I found out and never knew this. I was watching Frontline on PBS and the program was about the growth of meth labs all over the country. This guy gets on and says the way to rid this scourge is to go the source of the main ingredient and close them down. The guy was the ex head of the DEA and told the story of how he and the DEA went to the countries that produced the lude power and forced them to stop production or else foreign aid would stop for that country. The nerve of this dude. Meth yeah, who needs to watch your teeth fall out and nobody needs to be up for 8 days but he should have left well enough alone. Lemon was racking in millions and as I said drs also were getting rich and nobody was really getting hurt unless you walked or blithered into traffic.

WTF? DEA didn't even manage to convince our friendly neighbor Canada to ban methaqualone, they merely moved it from Schedule IV to Schedule III where it still is despite 30 years of pestering that left them stone cold, pun intended. As for other countries very few had approved methaqualone to begin with because it was a shitty hypnotic, plain and simple. Boasting about getting it banned from Zimbabwe or Freakistan is not that impressive, they had never heard of it anyway.

I know that source discussion are not allowed, so I wont mention any, but it seems, that I know someone only who really offers selfmade synthesized mandrax, qualuudes, because in his country they are illegal. But there are a lot of interested who seem do post reviews soon of its real. I really expected it to be the hardest drug to archieve on this planet, even if I never heard of it before the movie...and my opinion? It seems just get overhyped due to this. I could imagine that GBL is on par with it, atleast euphoria wise like in the beginning, never experienced such a well beeing,clear headed euphoria. Lost his magic after 2 weeks chronic consume and never came back....I still tend to believe that I damaged my GABA B receptor permanently, even if people say it will recover...I didnt took any kind of GABA-B except alcohol for at least 3 years.....I mean I see the difference when I go out drinking GABA-B, and I mean really, because my tolerance skyrocket since then, then I am way more euphoric than on any GABA A benzo.

I mean ludes are just GABA drugs, dont know how they act, but many say benzos are more recreational than barbiturates for example, and I am talking about the real ones, like Secunal, etc.
