Basically the MD group way way wya way WAY increases affinity for serotonin release, but the affinity for dopamine and norepinephrine release is a lot lower.
thats why MDMA is toxic to sergotonic neurons and methamphetamine/no MD sub is toxic to dopamine neurons.
methylated amphetamines have increased affinity for serotonin release, hence why MDMA supposedly is far more chill than MDA, because moar serotonin less dopamine when the methyl group is thrown onto an amphetamine molecule.
This does not explain why d-methamphetamine has a slightly higher affinity for dopamine release than d-amph though...and also higher affinity for 5HT and less NE release...
dioxy just means 2 oxygens lol...a methylenedioxy group is just 2 methoxy groups i thought, that are bonded together...
