Conspiracies The Covid Narrative

I've had my first vaccination. The second one of coming up in July, although I'm part of the group that is having their second vaccination expedited so it's possibly in June now.

There's a one-shot option?? I have never heard of that.

There's the J&J shot, which has been approved for use in the UK, but there's no supply yet. Though to be fair the AZ shot would probably be fine as a one-shot option as well, especially since we're all supposedly to be encouraged to get a booster from one of the other vaccines later in the year anyway...

I had my shot.. of Jameson 🥴.. haven’t slept a wink tonight. I blame the cocaine. But who are we to judge.

as soon as I test neg for antibodies I will get some shot. Don’t know which one yet tho.. which one have y’all got (gotten?).

you guys really strayed off topic for a bit there. And I dig it.

I got the AZ one right before they decided not to give it to anyone under 40 anymore :/ like RIGHT before. I never had any blood-clot issues thank god.
Wonder if I'll still get an AZ for my second shot then? (I'm A LOT under 40, not just a few years).

if you don't have a medical reason to get the shot, then there's really no need for it

getting it for a lottery ticket, a cheeseburger, a donut, when you're young and healthy and not at risk - not a good idea....everything has been exaggerated throughout this whole pandemic...things are close to the truth but still not right...even the fear of variants....it's still one of the slowest mutating virus's ever and still the furthest mutant is still 99.7% identical to the original wuhan virus...just like the lab intended it to be when they added the spike to it...its a very good replicator unlike influenza

Healthy and under 60, don't bother with an experimental shot, and don't let anybody pressure you into it - don't do it because oh now i can fly on a plane or any hogwash like that....there's no upside unless you're getting it for a medical reason

there's no evidence of harm because they haven't done the studies....so you tell a pregnant woman that, and they believe that it's safe when they're pregnant, rather than there's no evidence because you haven't studied it, which is the reality

also - a 300 person study isn't a study, it's propaganda....you can't make a call on something that can be an issue in 1 in 1000 when you only "study" 300 people

There's no nuance anymore. If you skeptical like a good scientist should be then you're an extremist. An anti-vaxxer. Probably also anti-masker and card-carrying member of Qanon.

The world is bifurcating between left and right and, as usual, the minority who actually try to engage their brains are being told to pick a side or shut the hell up.

unless you happen to care about vulnerable people around you.

i welcome variants. selection pressure will eventually reduce pathogenicity, the faster that happens, the better.

they did not add a spike to it. analogues of that spike are present in many coronaviruses, and there are other coronaviruses that bind to the same receptor.

there's no evidence of harm because they haven't done the studies...
these vaccines are the most watched novel pharmaceuticals in the past several decades. there are more studies, and more data, for them than virtually any medication you are likely to take in your lifetime. so if this is your issue, i hope you take no novel pharmaceuticals ever for consistency.

The vulnerable people around me should have their shot, right? didn't i say that or did you miss that part?

you're still guaranteeing anybody who doesn't get the shot, is gonna catch covid....i like how you keep thinking that :D

and no i don't take any novel pharmaceuticals - i never have....im not on any meds either.....

and you're rigtht - these novel pharmaceuticals are being watched alright.....on all the test subjects who receive them now

🤓

or it only happens in one out of 10 billion ppl so it's ok
given a population of 9 billion, that would be an expected <1 person impacted, compared to the 3.5 million deaths from covid.

immunocompromised people cannot be vaccinated so depend on people around them to maintain herd immunity.

oh ok...well then maybe they should stay home if they're immunocompromised since anything might make them sick

and receive no visitors/carers etc ever? sounds like a harsh deal when all that needs to be done to protect them from vaccine preventable disease is to do something that protects you also, win-win. we are all at risk of non-vaccine preventable diseases so only anti-vaxxers trot out this argument.

well then maybe mr. or ms. immunocompromised should only visit with vaccinated individuals if it'll make them feel better

everybody else needs to gamble on a shot because of a few immunocompromised ppl? that makes a lot of sense too....

Some of us do have reasons. My mother and myself both have been told we could die if we got it. I'm immunocompromised and my mother has a heart condition and a just a regular fever could kill her. Another reason people should have the vaccine: YOU may be young, fit, healthy and unlikely to become seriously ill with corona but maybe consider the people you'll pass it on to that aren't so lucky. Like maybe one of your grandparents. Or your neighbour with Asthma. Or your friend you didn't know was HIV-positive.

well if it was a "vaccine" that actually worked like that, maybe you'd have a point

Got my first dose, getting the second in 2 weeks. I keep hearing that after the second shot is when people are getting sick. I never had covid so I'm not looking forward to potentially feeling that shitty 😕

I dunno man I worked in a grocery store as a temp at the start of it all in March and I think I got it and got the shits for a long time. And a sort of weird mini-stroke like thing where my vision blurred in one eye. I got it twice I think again, and it went the other way where my sense of smell got so screwed up, everything became intense. I think it also works the other way where it messes with your mind too. Bear in mind too I'm fucking crazy and smoked weed like its going out of style and now quit. Oh, and I think, at least for me, it cranks up your heart rate a ton.

To be honest the AZ shot wasn't that great. I still feel shoulder pain weeks later. I mean they stick you with a needle into your arm like 2-3 inches. Weird chest pain and chills. The reason I say I think I got it is because the side effects where similar to when I got sick or was out and about.

I would take a guess that COVID is no joke. You see footage of people in India and it takes them out soo...I'm probably saying the same thing that I've been saying. But its out there, man. Like aliens.

I mean fuck I saw on TV you could drive up for the Indy 500 and get a shot and buy a tshirt, so why the hell not? Seems like a good deal to me. Better than my experience of basically being an awkward 3rd wheel when the admin knew this guy behind me and they were talking like neighbours, meanwhile my nose is leaking non-stop into my mask and I'm trying not to panic. Not even a cookie, ffffuccck. :D

I remember last year during January and February a lot of people had nasty cases of the flu. Many of those cases likely were actually Covid. I haven't had the flu since I was 16, and barely ever get sick with colds or stomach bugs. Knock on wood.
