I thought about how the days were growing shorter and the air getting colder. I sat under a tree with my back pressed against it and listened as a breeze passed through. In slow motion, leaves drifted down around me and scattered to create a blanket for the winter that was sure to come. "A few more weeks," I thought to myself, "and I can no longer walk barefoot to the pool." I would soon be pulling on a coat instead of a bathing suit and I would be grabbing a scarf instead of a towel.
Things were starting to change again and oddly, I welcomed the change.
