The big "L"

I wish I were a poet
so I could write you sonnets and beautiful verse to express the way i feel.
Or perhaps a musician
for then I could compose majestic melodies, and sing you soft lullabyes
Were I a pilot
I could fly you to the top of the world, and let the sunrise do all the talking.
If only I could paint
I could capture your face, and at last let you see your beauty through my eyes.
and ooh to be a writer
to express the joy you give in the most eloquent words imaginable would be my lifes passion
Alas, I am none of these things
I can't rhyme to save my life
Never could carry a tune
and I'm a bit scared of heights.
None of these things can I do for you
All I can do is hold you
and tell you that I love you
And hope you know it's true.
