After a few times buying 24packs I've finally become a nitrous head and joined the 600 club :D .....Whoa Déjà vu
 
just boughyt a new cracker

I just bought a cracker off of ebay so i can do some whippits. the first few went fine but after 12 the cracker stopped working. From what i can tell, the threads arnt matching up, making it impossible to get any seal close to cracking it.

this happen to anyone else? any ideas?


after trying to get the threads to come together so i can get a seal, i whipe my finger in the thread and when i do, metalic residue comes out which tells me that it stripping right?


So is there any way i can make this cracker work? at this point ive had it for one day and i can try to reason with the seller but i doubt that will work......


please help!!!!!
 
sounds like you've cross threaded it and stripped it, you've pretty much fucked it, try using sealant tape or replace the fitting with the fucked thread. next time don't force them together, they should screw in easily if you haven't cross threaded it
 
So far, for me, every nitrous experience is the same. The nitrous intoxication just overpowers everything else in my system. Whether stoned, rolling, tripping, or whatever, it totally, subjectively, feels like it knocks all the drugs free out of their receptors and returns me to sobriety (well, sobriety and nitrous) and then I gradually return to the regularly scheduled high.

I have been extremely disapointed that I have not been able to get the awesome experiences other people often describe from this low-risk, mostly-legal option. I've never experienced the "laughing gas" aspect of it either.
 
Your pretty well fucked unless you have some large threading taps...........

Edit" next time, buy a stainless steel version.

Happened to me a long while back, once you mis-thread a metal or plastic cylinder style cracker, it's more or less done.
Using a hammer and duct-tape works, but it also propels a cannon toward your head 1 / 10 chargers. It also really hurts =D

The best crackers are the non-generic ones, I use this one now, works wonderfully, absolutely no problems! =)

 
You could use tape, not regular tape, tape meant to make a seal between not perfect threads, put a new tape on each whippit.
 
wow, that is COMPLETELY the opposite of my experience. nitrous is 100% my favourite drug atm. t just sucks that I need to be on something else, ideally molly, in order to really reap the benefits. lately my whippits have been taking me to this parallel universe where all this really hilarious shit happens but then becomes totally inexplicable when the gas wears off. I can get back there and usually start laughing my head off as soon as I do, but I cannot for the life of me explain it to anyone when I come back. it's kind frustrating actually.

Yeah, totally! This has been my experience doing nitrous on other drugs as well (although my experience with this has been pretty limited)...
 
Sounds like you're fucked. Hopefully you don't "cold-freeze" your hands with this shitty cracker.

The seller probably won't care, just buy a better one next time.
 
I have no experience with whippits, however I believe you might be able to use Teflon 'tape'. Just coat the inside of the threads with this tape and it should seal it up just fine. You can buy this tape pretty much at any hardware store etc.

I tried the teflon tape and it looked like a god idea and like it would work, but after 3 attempts i had no luck and gave up.

I bought a new one today (See attachment)

This one feels alot heavier, has more threads and the threads are thicker. feels more heavy duty if that makes any sense

I still have some trouble when getting the last 2 twists in and get paranoid.

Is it suppose to be tough to make the last few twists? And can aanyone help with the best teq for getting all the N2O into the balloon?

I have one of those punching bag types and the pure whip seems to have some left over but wont keep pumping it into the balloon

im sorry, it fucking sucks when youve stripped your threads, you just gotta replace em
get the cracker with the most quality possible, don't get ripped off, but investing good money in a good cracker thats going to last years and years is really worth it

EDIT: hey man i just noticed your thumbnail pic after i finished writing.
thats a nice cracker man, i have the same one, i can see it from the detail, its really nice and heavy duty, it'll last ya for sure
it has a really nice shaped top to put your balloon on....enjoy :)

hey thanks for the reply!

my last question is when i do the last 2 twists to crack the seal on the pure whip, its seems kinda hard to make those final twists. this gets me paranoid because thats how my last, cheaper cracker felt and i ended up fucking the threads on it.

Any advice/ tricks you can recommend? is it suppose to be hard to make those final twists? how do i avoid stripping the threads if so?
 
It shouldn't be too hard, but...
I can't think of anything you can do to make sure you don't strip them. Your attachments looks like a fairly good quality cracker... That's the only thing that counts. Just try to have the threads lined up correctly.

If it's a good cracker the threads shouldn't strip with moderate use.
 
my freind has a HUGE HUGE nitrious tank for his car. 20 bucks to fill the whole thing!

now, i was wondering if you can inhale the nitrous from a baloon or something strait from the tank or if the nitrous is adultered with something besides oxygen?
