^ what are truffles??

my first trip was at 15, on an 8th of mushrooms and some honey oil in the midst of the craziness....I had never consumed cannabis anything before that night either

The best LSD I've ever had at barely 16 years old. Nothing can touch that trip, it was everything I was looking for in psychedelics and then some, still love to trip now.

i did mushrooms for the first time at 15, wish i woulda waited a few more years... i found most experience's with psychedelics prior to the age of about 19 where all rather unpleasant.... dxm is the first hallucinogenic drug i had a great positive learning experience from that was at the age of 19

This, exactly. Two sugar cubes that were falling apart because they were so saturated with liquid. I had no clue. Those people were idiots for selling so much LSD to kids for so little, but I am grateful. If only all dealers could be such idiots.

Wow, quite the response.
So I was 18 for my first trip. Five grams of some dried mush, had no concept of species at the time. Went to the beach on a hot and crowded summer weekend. Ate sand. Went to another planet after ripping open a melted rice krispy treat. Really, it was a lot of fun but the heat and crowds made it a little difficult. We didn't know anyone who did this kind of thing. We just went out on a limb to try it out. Wasn't very deep, that wasn't what I was looking for. But when I first tried LSD a few months later, WOW.

After doing a lot of reading about psychedelics and mushrooms in particular, I bought a grow kit and ate 1.5g of my first harvest of cubensis in a tea.

I went to town to see a local band play and see a few mates, I lasted 30 minutes before I had to go home laughing my head off, I couldn`t talk to anyone and everyone in the pub was becoming zombies and ghouls.

And there started 3 years and continuing of adventures.

I was 29 btw.

I hope what you are getting at by saying "effective psychedelic experience" is a mind-expanding, actual worthwhile trip - at least subjectively, rather than a disorienting intoxication.

For me, 19, LSD, subjective enlightenment.

Age 14 - DXM (I don't count those experiences as a "trip", more of a buzz -- never went past the 2nd plateau, never really got visuals at all)

Age 15 - 2C-I (My first real time getting real visuals and truly enjoying a psychedelic trip...I used it many many times before LSD)

Age 15-16 - LSD (Spiderman blotter, one hit [estimated 100mics], this was a very eye-opening and fun experience...reinforced my love for tripping. I have been in love with LSD since.

Age 16 - 3.0g mushrooms (My first real experience with ego death. This trip was terrifying and horrific, but I feel like it was one of the most important)

My first few mushroom trips at age 16 showed me the true power of psychedelics 8o
It took like 4 mushroom experiences for me to start to completely enjoy it and love it for what it is. Surprisingly I've never freaked out nearly as bad on LSD as I have on mushrooms.

That is most definitely what I meant.

for me it was age 15, 2 hits of LSD (purple gellies).

i ate the acid at school before 1st period with 2 friends of mine who were also trying acid for their first time.
We ended up cutting school because it was too hectic to be tripping and at school at the same time.
So we wandered around for a couple hours going to the beach, a park, etc till someone called our school and reported us.
We were caught by the school police officer in the park and taken back to school where we all proceeded to finish our trips in the deans office.

Although it wasnt an ideal trip (due to setting) it is what sparked my curiosity of these amazing drugs.

I was 21 when I had my first beautiful acid trip, though the first time I took LSD I was 15. 21 & 22 were the years of hundreds of meaningful psychedelic experiences for me.

13 on acid, ate 4 and sat in the high street with older brother tripping too,,,, waiting for a bus, we found everything so hilarious that we just watched all the busses go by all day sitting on a bench.

Probably did more damage to my fragile mind then and probably wasn't such a great idea. Just the norm of me and piers at that age.

But I've never had a bad trip, although a few years down the line my brother had a ten year episode of drug induced psychosis and is still cared for by mental health ProffessionalS.

That is most definitely what I meant.
Tricky question, this, for me... I know I've had a couple such recently, and thus at the age of 29, (one, 2C-C 66mg oral + 10 mg intranasal, in which I experienced all as vibration; and one, 2C-B 10 mg intranasal, in which I experienced a faith-like state of wordless adoration), but these certainly aren't the first, just the only ones I have a really clear memory of. Before that, I can point vaguely at some 2C-E and DiPT experiences at the age of perhaps 27 and say, yeah I'm sure there were some truly worthwhile experiences in amongst there. And there was definitely a psilocybe mushroom trip when I was maybe 25 or 26 in which I was simultaneously aware of all aspects of my frighteningly compartmentalized conscious self, including some rather dark areas; a very morally enlightening trip. I guess that's the first one I can say for sure was an effective experience in that sense. But I suspect that previous mushroom trips (between the ages of 22 and 25, I guess) and perhaps even a lowish dose LSD trip or two at the age of 18 or 19 (although all I can remember from these were delightful, but not necessarily mind-expanding, moments of beauty and fun) were subjectively worthwhile; I just can't remember much about them now. Shame: should have been writing trip reports. :)

ETA: And now I come to think of it, I'm sure I experienced mind-expanding effects of cannabis (decreasingly so over the years; barely at all now, really: oops, did I bugger my CB receptors? :o) on many occasions from the age of 15 till my early twenties at least.

Idk if trippin on dxm is considered psychedelic but i was 13when i started trippin and 14 when i started doing large doses(600mgs highest). I was also 14 when I first tookshrooms and now im 15 and have done em 3 times

16 for me, it was LSD. It was a little hellish because I choose timing and place very poorly. Interrogation by one's parents is NOT a recommended psychedelic experience. First time was the best visuals ever. Script that seemed like Sanskrit bulged out of the ceiling and walls and turned golden. Blinking, bright, colorful lights were falling out of the sky when I'd look out the window. It would have been so much better if I'd chosen a good place & time though.:\
