Took mushrooms when I was 16. :)

First acid when I was 17 - was the night before my 18th Birthday and my parents had arranged a birthday party... turned up a lil frazzled 8). It had been an epic troop trip... visited the temple of psychic youth =D
 
What age did you get involved in Psychedelics?

Just wondering what age you started at and with what substance?

What age would you recommend?

I was 16, did N20 with a couple of friends.

I took my first tab of LSD when I was 14 years old and it was awesome.

I think that generally that's a bit too young but I turned out fine. You may want to wait until your over 18 to ingest these substances so your brain is fully developed.
 
I was 17 when i first started reading up on psychedelics, however i obviously didnt read up enough because i decided 2c-e would be good first choice!

It was very intense but i came out alright and have enjoyed many beautiful trips since.
 
16 with Mushrooms, had tried cannabis and mdma before that.

Looking back I wouldn't have changed it and waited, I didn't abuse the hell out of it, but the trips didn't really mean much to me at the time, they were just a way to have fun.

late 13; cannabis. Smoked it regularly for the next few years. That one screwed me up socially now that I look back on it. Also did various pharms such as ritalin/pain killers. When first getting into drugs I find even non "psychedelic" drugs kind of feel psychedelic in a way.

My first real psychedelic use was 16; mushrooms. Shortly after my 17th birthday I did a full dose of MDMA and I was off to the races :)
 
I first tried cannabis at 12, began regular smoking at 13.

However, I had my first psychedellic 'trip' at 15 with a morning glory extraction. Being a naughty 15 year old, me and my friend soon managed to steal all the packets of heavenly blues from two shops. For shame, yes? I first had MDMA at 15 also but none of my trips were psychedelic so I wouldn't count them for me.

It was all just a bit of fun back then, I'd never thought about, or been confronted by any deeper aspects of the psychedelic experience until I first broke through on salvia when I was 16 and experienced my first loving entity. Her arms hugged me and I finally felt like I got what the psychedelic experience was all about. It was the most loving warmth I'd ever felt, and I felt the most intense acceptance I had ever felt :)

Went over to my good friends apartment from college. He was trying to get me to trip for about a year, but I was really afraid. I went over and just took them, and it opened my eyes to what life was really about. I had anger issue before I took psychedelics and after that day I realized that life was so beautiful that I really don't have any reason to get angry over petty things. I turn 21 really soon and I love where my life is going even though it keeps taking random and weird twist and turns. But I am somehow still in college and have good grades and a job. HAHAHA life lol.
 
I got the shit scared out of me by shrooms when I was 14. I swore off psychedelics until I did LSD at 18 or 19; it was the most glorious experience of my life and it changed me for the better. :)
 
I became interested in psychedelics when I was 15, spent days/weeks/months reading about them and decided to wait until I was 18. Now I'm 20, tripped quite a few times since my 18th birthday and it was well worth the wait.
 
Hmmm, no one's mentioned mescaline...too strong for a beginner, or just not as accesible?
