Questions to come.

Question:

From my first work to my last post-humous release I spanned a 93 year career in the art world. Known for my funny moustache and phenomenal artistic ability I also enjoyed eating Hashish.

Who am I?

Salvador Dali. The posthumous release you're referring to was the cartoon Destino, originally started in in collaboration with Walt Disney in 1945, finally seeing daylight in 2003 some 14 years after his death.

You're too quick. :p.

I'll have to wait a while to post another question in case you're still lurking with all the answers...

Pffffft! Come on Tripman, I only answered the RocknRolla bit of yer 4 parter cos I thought I better let those who aren't on Bluelight 24/7 like me chance to at least try and have a go at it without me knocking 'em off as fast as you can put 'em up. It occurs to me though that that could across as patronising so on this one at least thought better get straight in. I've got a lead to maintain ya know! ;) I'll leave yer next question alone till someone else has had chance to look at it.

Sorry that I have left this neglected as of late, I have only had access to the internet when at work and it's a little difficult to run the quiz from work.

I'll give you a question today though!

Question:

Which NSAID has an incredibly long antiplatelet effect?

WTF? Where did this come from? Waited all week for this then in you sneak it, right under the radar while I was on one of me other sites for once. :!

Think Vader may have scored, but just in case, define 'incredibly long' Tripman?

Vader scored.

While most NSAIDs have an anti-platelet effect lasting for several hours, aspirins lasts for days.

Sorreee Sepher.

Victorian women would consume arsenic with vinegar and chalk to make their skin paler, thereby giving an aristocratic appearance. i.e. they did not work outdoors or otherwise have to spend time in the sun. It would also make the cheeks rosier, thus more attractive in an age when only ladies of the night wore make-up! ;)

Well this actually wasn't the answer I was looking for, as I believed they only applied the arsenic topically... However further research has revealed that you are correct.

The answer I was looking for was that Mountain-climbers in late-19th-Century Austria regularly consumed arsenic to, “…obtain healthy and sturdy looks…to appear strong and robust…”, and to “…facilitate breathing while climbing…” (Baron Ernst von Bibra.)

You still get the point.
