Dealing on the streets is tricky. First, you have to know where to go and where not to go. Second, you have to know how to read people so you won't get ripped off (although it's usually inevitable). Finally, you have to be paranoid as fuck--well, maybe not paranoid, just really careful about what you do and what you say. I mean, okay, this is me: I'm an upper-middle class white kid from a nice suburban area of Cincinnati, OH. I sometimes drive to Over The Rhine--the ghetto used in Traffic where Michael Douglas' daughter and her friend went to buy drugs--to get rock or bags. I was first introduced to it in '99 when the person I was seeing at the time wanted snow at 2:30 in the morning...so we took a car ride to OTR. Anyway, since then, I've bought rock and bags. It's not that difficult to do: you just drive slowly with your windows part way down, have the money you wanna spend under your leg as you drive so they don't actually see it until you make the deal, then either wait for someone on the street to whistle at you--different streets have different drugs, like Elm St. is big on bags, Race and Vine Sts. are big on rock--or you just go along slowly and pull up by the curb and whistle at the people standing there. They almost always know what you're there for. I admitt, when I first started doing it, people gave me a funny look, b/c I mean, who wouldn't give a white kid in a nice car a funny look when he's in the ghetto. Anyway, the stuff is usually good, and I was never really worried about being shot/stabbed/killed, I was just worried the cops would see me making the deal. I usually go in the day, as I think it's less likely to get ripped off that way. Yeah, I've gotten bunk shit before, but it's almost always decent stuff. You do pay a little more because you're white and they're black. I'm not racist, but it's just a fact. Anyway, it's easy to do, but I'm not suggesting anyone do it, because it's real tempting to go get stuff late at night, and that's usually when shit happens. It's kewl if you go to the same people, like I do for rock, but don't go out late at night driving around looking for a fix from someone you don't know: you're likely to get mugged/ripped off/or maybe even hurt in some way.
Word to the wise: Lithium is used to treat bipolar (manic-depressive) patients, but it isn't a tranquilizer. It's a mood stabalizer, like Depakote. And yes, it is toxic, that's why they have to do bloodwork to make sure you have just the right amount in your system for a theraputic level.
