As I sat on flight 97 en route to my lovely home of San Diego, memories of an unforgettable journey race through my exhausted mind...
11 days...each and every one with its own story and place in my heart.
It seems like only a few moments ago I was planning this embarkment, and already it is done. It's times like these that I wish we were all given a "rewind" option for this crazy adventure known as life. How wonderous it would be if I could re-live those 11 days again...
...forgetting to take pictures in St. Louis with two rockin' chicks who were so kind enough to come visit a straggler for a little less than an hour...
...Spending solid time with my closest cousin and redefining humor with GEISHA B...SCONES!...
...Hauling ass through New York and New Jersey with my shady NY bitch while nearly getting pummeled by a middle aged lesbian with a gnarly mullet. And did I just see a Dolorian on the road???...
...The city of Brotherly Love and meeting some very awe-inspiring people while enjoying water ice and Pat's. Give it up to the Liquid Gimp!...
...Greyhounding all the way down to North Carolina. Never...ever...again. Bus terminal food stops didn't hit home too well. Blah...
...Sticky and his stomping grounds. It's strange walking in this park. mmmm Cameron Indoor Stadium. WOW! What beauty this place holds...more than I could've ever imagined. And that was just the tip of the iceberg...
...All riiiiight! LL, GB, n lil*e coming to save the day! Not to mention finally meeting these folks. Two words: Blown away...
...Reuniting with da Southern Belles. No more needs to be said really. I just wish they knew how special they really are, and that modesty just adds on to it...
...Meeting da moondancer and seeing a bizarro version of myself in "Fast and the Furious." Sooooo not cool. And um, very sorry for that run-in with da popo. VERY glad it turned out ok...
...Carrowinds. Damn it is a damn steam room out here! Wait...are those clouds? Wow they look pretty damn dark. SINGIN' IN THE RAIN! Puddles galore! FUCK LINO! And oh yes...I ruv Amrerica...
...Hellooo Charlotte and the RAW SEX room. Perhaps the most delightful surprise of the entire journey. I couldn't have imagined a better time coming from here. And that's where they boil the children...TRIIIPPY! What is that tire doing there???...
...the weekend in South Carolina. Can't I just burn down one building at Bob Jones University? Seeing missed friends kept me smiling the whole time. This is it. This is why I'm here. I couldn't think of a better example. It captured everything...damn that 4 hour drive to the airport!...
...Back to Mass and connecting with a fellow sarcastic bastard. Seeing how shady Denny's can be was not what I expected. Stoner k golf...SQUIRBEE!!! Someone needs a goat for Christmas. Goodbye Adventure.
Now I sit in my room one week later, dreaming and pondering about the mystical trip that took place over those 11 days. All the pictures, memories, and wonderful thoughts can't equal the true moment, but it will have to do. Life-changing? Perhaps so. One thing remains constant: when it comes time to examine my heart and soul, this will be on integral piece. For those who helped create this magnificent vision, Thank you.
Jeff.
