Then an ex-astronaut who represents your party decides to make a virtue signaling spectacle out of trading in their Tesla for a climate change causing SUV, at the same time that SpaceX is rescuing astronauts due to the failure of Boeing, lol. Total mystery why that chart above may become even wider

The emerson poll is the one I linked the google doc to, the 3/11 poll. The NBC poll is the one in the Axios article in my post and where the chart I posted is fromI think you are confused. It was @alasdairm's link we were discussing.

There were two polls mentioned in @alasdairm's link. which I think I made rather clear. In the post you are responding to, you said it was the Emmerson poll and I said
So, obviously, even just from that post, there were two polls. Did you not see that in the original article? Now, please do the same research on the YouGov and The Economist poll.
In case you are somehow still not able to find the poll, here it is:I think you are confused. It was @alasdairm's link we were discussing.

I went to a protest at a Tesla dealership today. Well, it's actually a Burlington Coat Factory being changed to a Tesla dealership. Anyway, the weather is rainy today and it was rescheduled to Monday. A friend said that she and a couple others were going anyway since there was a window in the rain. I expected a few folks would be there hanging out and we would BS.
At least 50 people showed up, all with signs like, "Muck Fusck", "F Elon" and "Send Elon to Mars". It was on a busy street and the honking and thumbs up was phenominal. When I did the Board of Elections last year, it was maybe 66/33 thumbs up to fingers (Harris won my county, not the state). Today, there were 2 or three fingers and lots of thumbs up and honking.
So, my informal and flawed poll says that public opinion is changing.
Good times. Ya oughta go. The legacy media isn't covering this stuff just like they sanewashed Trump before the election. Again, legacy media are corporations...
But, real people seeing this is actually grass roots.
Tesla is less of a car company now than it is a technology company. Read their 10Q filings. It's like Amazon being a book company at firstIn case you are somehow still not able to find the poll, here it is:

I've made it very clear which poll we were discussing. Since you are obviously playing dumb at this point, against my better judgement I looked up the data myself. In case you are somehow still not able to find the poll, here it is:

Approval by Democrat and Republican voters for their own party will always be highly assymetric because it is much more common for left wingers to hate democrats than right wingers to hate republicans.
Also the republicans party is far more right wing than the Democratic Party is left wing.
Conservative voters never change their opinion or admit they were wrong. For things completely outside of politics. They still won’t admit Christianity is false despite all the scientific evidence. Changing one’s views with the observation of reality is far more common on the left…this is reflected in the names progressive and conservative. So yes, it’s far less likely for people to feel regret when republicans are in power even if everything is objectively going badly.
Tesla has a 400Well, that makes sense - Didn't the Kurt Vonnegut book 'Breakfast of Champions' mention a company (Barrytron Limited) whose business model constantly changed. The ONLY thing they kept hold on for some unexplained reason was their motto 'Goodbye Blue Monday'. Maybe Vonnegut foreshadowed Elon Musk? It doesn't really matter what a business does, as long as one strand allows the public to keep tabs on it?
In that case the business in question went from building automated washing machines to bomb componants to chemical weapons (the last two for the US government).
I guess we will know if Vonnegut was spot-on if Tesla end up as part of the US military...

EMP warfare gonna start getting some tractionTalk about nightmare fuel
Also, it'll be hilarious when people just pour water on them to divert the invasion.

Hey buddy, take it to the joke forum!"Musk, who has been cutting thousands of federal workers as the head of Department of Government Efficiency, on Thursday reposted a message on X saying “Hitler didn’t murder millions of people. Public sector employees did.”"
Musk is raising quite a fuhrer

"The issue" lol. Keep caring as much as you do about things like small variances between polls, because if you are an accurate representation of democrat voters, then I hope you keep it up until at least the midterms in 2026, preferrably longer. That's actually "the issue", you guys not being focused and not having popular policy proposals, while the policies you think are popular are only popular within your PMC in-group bubble, but you guys don't understand thatI've made it very clear which poll we were discussing. Since you are obviously playing dumb at this point, against my better judgement I looked up the data myself.
The Economist /YouGov Poll does skew slightly toward women
Male . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .48%

But, that is more than made up for by the fact that it leans Republican in sampling
Democrat . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .31%

And that the Republicans it sample are mostly MAGA Republicans
Do you identify as a MAGA Republican?Asked of Republicans
Yes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 56%

And then there's
In general, how would you describe your own political viewpoint?
Very liberal . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 12%
Liberal . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .15%
Total Liberal . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 27%
Moderate . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 32%
Conservative . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 20%
Very conservative . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .11%
Total Conservative . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 32%
Not sure . . . .9%
So, 63% conservative to 54% liberal.
And yet that poll showed 36 percent of respondents saying the country is headed in the right direction and 52 percent saying it is headed in the wrong direction. A pretty convincing result, no?
I don't think any of the sampling data means a huge amount, at least not anymore than you saying the Economist poll was wrong since it sampled more women.
I figured there was a reason you were avoiding the issue.
