Milk thistle especially in form of oil is extremly good for liver.I have got hemangiom in liver.That is a cluster of bloodvessels surrounding some tissue...like tumor,but benign...well after a some months daily intake of milk thistle oil this disappeared.Essentiale is also very good for liver.It brings essential phospholipids in your liver,repairing the damage structures on cell membranes of hepatocyts....you digest food more easily.In fact this two are enough...acetylcystein also work great especially in alcoholics...Germanium,which is very powerful antioxidant....if you quitt alc(wish you that) and takin' this,got proper food regime,got enough easy physical exersices you got pretty good chance to cure it&live normal life.Crossfingers man.....you must do it...for your kids.You can do it!
 
I have been drinking daily for about 20 years now. Can't say that I am unhappy about that, though, although the potential health problems do worry me a bit. I drink one or two beers (15 ounces each) when I come home from work and half a bottle of red wine after dinner. Every day. Sometimes, I drink more, obviously, at parties, getting pretty hammered. Have had horrible opiate withdrawal recently and drank shitloads of Gin to make me feel a bit better during WDs. So far, no real health issues but liver damage has no symptoms until it may be too late.

Don't even know why I drink the booze, it doesn't really make me feel better. It is a pretty shitty drug compared to other things, but I still do it. Really enjoy the taste of IPAs and red wine, which probably contributes to the habit.

Did you know that drinking coffee is really protective for your liver when you drink too much booze? There is a lot of good scientific data on that, especially heavy drinking males seem to benefit from drinking coffee. Loads of coffee, the more, the better. I drink at least 5 cups of coffee per day. It is not the caffeine, decaf also seems to work.

i got my period. again. i've basically been in tears ever since. i don't even know why i care so much. i also got a treatment plan from a dietician about how to stop me being in pain all the time. it involves basically cutting out every food that i'm comfortable having in my stomach. so i just feel fucked. my period could have at least come on time so i had a day to recover about the dietary stuff before being hit with that.

Although my father drank himself to a miserable early death, I personally view alcohol as a rather benign substance for me. Unlike many other drugs, I can control alcohol and I can do it in moderation (moderation being subjective, of course). I don't like the effect of ethanol during daytime at all, it just makes me feel drowsy and unwell when I drink in the morning or at lunchtime. I also don't like being really drunk, which just feels unpleasant. I usually stop drinking before I am really drunk. Two or three beers, or a bottle of wine is good but more makes me tired and drowsy.

I got severely hooked on cannabis (psychological, that is), benzos got me hooked almost instantly, amphetamines got me hooked badly, GHB turned into a massive habit and let's not even begin with opioids, that was instant love and marriage for me. All drugs that really work well get me hooked. Alcohol is shitty enough to not get me, and so is nicotine. I smoked cigarettes on and off and could never understand how people get hooked on that crappy substance.

I am also not convinced that daily but moderate alcohol use is that bad for your health. 1 litre (33 ounces) of beer a day or half a bottle of red wine per day is probably fine or even good, health wise. Medical doctors make other claims but I don't think they've got solid data on that. I live in the middle of a wine growing region and everyone in these rural areas drinks wine all the time, it is a food staple for them. They seem healthy and happy enough.

All of that said, I totally realize that alcohol is hurting and killing people, families are impacted by the atrocious behaviour of drunk fathers and mothers. Alcohol causes violent behaviour in many, it makes people do really stupid things they regret later on. It was an awful substance for my own dad. In hindsight, I should have tried to get him to smoke weed instead. Maybe that would have taken care of the demons in his head. He had lots of demons in there, poor man.

It definitely is a hard drug to overcome. I was drinking 1 to2 bottles of 750ml a day to stave off opiate withdrawals, anxiety and mask the reality of this fucked up world. It only got worse with the alcohol withdrawal in its self. Went to the ER at least 3 times in a month. Finially wound up in rehab for 97 days. Best thing I could have done. Now I'm a kratom freak....hey it keeps me off the vodka. 2 years now 😏

Good job! I would also prefer a Kratom habit over alcoholism any day. Just make sure that you don't escalate the Kratom dose. When I did that and started using up to 40gpd, Kratom got dull and lost all magic quickly. Take it like a drug, disciplined and steady dose.

Thanks! I usually take about 3 to 4 teaspoons in a day. Dont know what that adds up to. No more, no less. Plus I switch the strains up a lot.

Strain switching is BS in my opinion. The active compound is Mitragynine, period. You could just as well be "drink switching" from Whiskey to Vodka to not become an alcoholic, which obviously won't work all that well. 3-4 teaspoons should be 15g or so, which is fine. I was teaking four heaped tablespoons and more per day, which ruined Kratom for me.
