I can see this from both sides. I can also imagine his medical team being in charge of the President of the United States would want to do everything possible according to the known data. I'm guessing what happened was at an intersection between the two.
 
Maybe, but it’s still in a small clinical trial, so although the science behind the approach is solid, that particular treatment is still quite experimental.
Immune response is relatively easy to examine in a broad way, but specifically to the pathology of COVID, it’s early days.

That would have to be quite the offset. Dexamethasone is a strong drug.

You can’t, unless he’s been on it before, and even then he’s on new treatments.

I initially thought this as well. The only way I see that possible is if Trump got infected well before they're claiming he did, which I suppose is possible, but he was active and only appeared sick on Friday. I can't reconcile it to fit the timeline, but I sure did think this initially though.

Agree. He must’ve been going nuts watching the news and not getting enough attention.
Hence the ride in his hermetically sealed car with recirculating air with the poor Secret Service people.

Yeah, ruled out was a bad choice of wording. It would be more along the lines of utilizing the level of monitoring, with the imaging and tests he had, to try to assess the likelihood of it happening.
 
Even assuming he got it a day or so before it was announced, he'd only have had it about a week. Most of the time the most serious stuff doesn't happen till 7-10 days in.
 
Obviously they gave him dexamethasone to offset inflammatory effects (probably his lungs), but the immunosuppressant effects are concerning. I honestly think he just demanded really aggressive treatment and then wanted to get back on camera.
We’ll see how it works out.

That is the scariest part. He is going to now force herd immunity is my guess. His cult followers will probably all catch covid on purpose. Telling everyone not to worry, covid is no problem! Don't be scared! The Trump admin has made great drugs!

Sadly that treatment is out of reach for most, if not the majority.

I still think this is all fake. Just seems to be well too timed out. And was a desperate move by Trump. We will see :)
 
I simply don't believe trump would pretend to be sick.

People keep thinking trump lies in his own interest. He doesn't. He lies for his own ego. And being sick completely goes against hisbeliefs.

I don't believe for second that he'd lie about having covid. I think he lied about not having it sooner.

I think that believing trump would lie in a way that he thinks makes him look weak to win totally misunderstand the kinda guy trump is.
 
But it doesn't make him look weak.

This guy got covid and cured in 3 days. He looks like a powerhouse. Twitter lit up claiming he has superior genes. Now gilead getting pumped too since it worked on trump. (yolo calls on that ticker now lol).

The truth will eventually come out. Hope I am wrong since that would be the ultimate dupe.

Now if he did in fact catch it and cured in 3 days, that is some miracle. He probably does have cockroach genes in him.

He also has the upper hand on Biden now. Covid came and went right through him like water (so he claims). Biden cannot say the same.

The timing is just too convenient. Also with the vaccine talk, now its true. The vaccine is ready and worked on trump. He has been living reckless this whole time. And the moment he is trapped he catches it finally. Then cured 3 days later.

Can't wait for books and movies to come out based on 2020 and trump.

You're looking at this from a rational perspective. That's a mistake.

It looks weak in trumps eyes. That's all that matters. It's not rational, it's stupid. But I think trumps the kinda guy that thinks being sick makes him look weak.

That he supposedly recovered fast helps, and no doubt that's what he's going for, but it's still worse than not getting sick at all.

Trump's not some political genius as some people seem to think. He's driven by his own crazy narcissistic ego, and sometimes that causes him to do things that don't seem to make sense.

I don't believe he'd ever pretend to have covid. If he says he has it, I think it's because he couldn't realistically hide it.
 
I was thinking that Trump might be a bit freaked out because people he has known fairly well have died from COVID. He might be trying to pep talk himself, or it could be the roids are putting some pep in his step. 😁

I read that similar antibody cocktails (the one he had isn’t on the market yet) can cost up to $20,000 a dose. I don’t see Joe Public getting that anytime soon.

This is something I looooove about living in Australia.

I've gotten medications that cost that kinda money. More even. And I paid pretty much nothing (not counting money in taxes like everyone pays).

I got a 40-70 something grand hep c cure for nothing. It's awesome having sane Healthcare.
