Summary: Everything is a race issue now. Water, housing, criminal justice. Even cauliflower. I'm afraid to pick dandellions with Chris now. :(

Oh and Warren dodged the decriminalizing border crossings question so she'll just be another Obama in office and deport like 8 million Mexicans. Nothx. Massively disappointing. O'Rourke had the only good plan on health care and no one gave a fuck because the left are obsessed with ideological extremes.

The ER i went to did not triage efficiently whatsoever. What I described was accurate. They let sniffles or pill seekers go first. It was not triaged whatsoever when I was there.

Why do you think all hospitals are the same? I think it is going to vary wildly from hospital to hospital and perhaps state to state. I think things are just better where you live.

All ERs run off a triage system. There isnt a single ER in the United States that goes off of "First-come, first-serve". That's just how ERs are. Urgent Care might be like that, but not ERs.

In the Emergency Department, the VERY FIRST stop is triage. In triage, a nurse typically prioritizes each patient's condition (their chief complaint) into one of three general categories:

  • Immediately life-threatening
  • Urgent, but not necessarily immediately life-threatening
  • Less urgent
Categorization is necessary to ensure someone with a life-threatening condition is not left waiting just because he or she arrived a few minutes later than someone with a less severe problem. A triage nurse will record a patient's vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and blood pressure). The nurse also will get a brief history of a patient's medical complaints, medical history, medications, and allergies. She will use this information to determine the patient's appropriate triage category.

People lie all the time to "jump the line". I deal with that at work on a daily basis. It's possible that they could have done that.
 
No one is addressing a systematic lack of nurses in the medical health field. Medicare-for-all plans - how are they going to even address that? The cost is going to get ridiculous. Who's going to waste $$$ going to learn to become a nurse if you keep poor people poor and just pay their bills? People need economic opportunities to contribute to society. You typically can't become a professional with no personal assets to your name. It's part of capitalism. You need money to make money; this applies to all facets of life, not just running a business.
