Hey you guys, I was checking out something from an erowid archived from Rhodium:

http://www.erowid.org/archive/rhodium/chemistry/thc/index.html

It says
The syntheses of THC-A, THC-B, or THC-C are all based on the condensation of olivetol (5-(n-amyl)-resorcinol)

a friend was currently doing some research and told me that olivetol was closely watched by the DEA, but upon further inspection, he couldn't find it on the Controlled Substances Act or in the DEA's list of Watched Chemicals:

http://uscode.house.gov/download/pls/21C13.txt
www.sciencemadness.org/talk/files.php?pid=212851&aid=14634, respectively.

Also, prior knowledge would tell me that one couldn't be flagged for purchasing Olivetol since it is used for a wide variety of purposes.

So my question is, is Olivetol a watched chemical? and if so is there a list of chemicals for which you will be flagged by the DEA or similar, but are not on the DEA's watched chemical list?

Also, does anyone have additional research or prior knowledge with any of the syntheses or the particular forms of synthetic THC? -the 5th synthesis is particularly curious

Hey, welcome to BL, but we don't allow synthesis questions here. Also, we can't help you do anything illegal and tell you if something will allow you to sneak around the DEA's radar. I'm closing this, PM me with any questions, and please check out the CD guidelines and the BLUA.
