Hey everyone, 2 days ago I had my second naltraxone implant placed inside me.. I had one put in early January and it went well.. But this one is driving me up the fucken wall.. I havent slept since the surgery.. I am cutting this thing out so I need some advise..

There is two stiches right below my belt line... X X and to the right of the X X is my implant.. Its like he made a cut and then shoved it to the right...

So should I take out the stiches and pull it out thru the cut he already made?
Or should I cut myself right beside where the implant is?

I know this is border line insanity wanting to take this thing out of me.. It was either this or loose my job.. I dont know why I suggested I do this rather than rehab.. I just wanted to shine I guess..

So I have me a pair of tweezers, scalpel soaking in rubbing alcohol...

How much blood do you think there will be? It is no wear near any main arteries and is prolly just 1/4" under my skin..

I cannot drink booze to numb myself because booze and naltraxone wont work.. Oral Gel maybe?

I am cutting this thing out and am fully aware of the consquences.

DO NOT DO THIS!

they do a surgery to implant it, and it takes a surgery to get it out. if its that bad explain to the doctor you NEED it removed.

If you do this yourself you most likely will faint and die. too much can go wrong

DONT DO THIS PLEASE

Also he probably cut where he did for a good fucking reason.

you will probably die from blood loss or a mad infection if you do this.

oral gel wont numb this kinda pain worth shit

Faint and die? Thanks for the concern and like I said, I am perfectly aware of what can go wrong.. It's not like its 2 inches inside me.. I can push it around with my fingers with barley no pressure.. I dont want reasons why I shouldn't do this because I am.. I need HR for cutting myself not HR for not doing it..

this isn't HR asking how to cut out an implant and everyone will be telling you not to do it. if you want it taken out go see a doctor to take it out.

you've only had it in two days, why don't you give yourself a little longer to adjust.

noone is going to tell you to cut yourself and pull it out. we've had people in the past ask this exact thing and you're going to get the same reception as those people - don't fucking do it.

I hate to say it might sound like your Mother but I told you so in your first post about this implant nonsense. A friend cut/ripped he described it in 'he ripped it out' but I never pushed for details but he was a crazy fuck god rest his soul RIP Tony. Becareful if you rush the process to get clean [which it is] dangerous things can happen.

Peace,

Firstly don't do this!

If you are going to ignore that advise you need to do this as sterile as possible. There is pretty much nothing that is going to numb you enough so ICE will be the only option. Have someone with you incase you pass out from bloodloss. Wear clean sterile glove after you have made the incision and try and be a quick and gentle as possible. Afterward you'll need to hold something like sterile cotton wool against the wound until it stops bleeding(which it may not do) If it doesn't stop bleeding GOTO hospital.

Why is it these threads keep popping up? If you're really decided on doing in, why post about it in a harm reduction forum? If you're posting it because you are having doubts, then all I can say is the safest and smartest thing to do is NOT cut it out. And why are you asking a harm reduction forum (geared towards drugs) about blood loss and risks of cutting into yourself. There is no safe way to do this, there is no expert on this forum that could foresee the dangers of this, just DON'T FUCKING DO IT!

(And next time get a Vivitrol shot, same drug but instead of an implant you just take a shot...much safer)

Lidocaine can help numb the area, that is the only legal accessable thing I can think of. Also, make sure you don't take anything that may thing your blood, like asprin, or alcohol. Have some butterfly band-aids also for keeping the incision closed after the "operation".

You are truly badass.

Tylenol won't thin your blood so if you really do go thru with it and need an OTC pain reliever Tylenol would be your best bet. But NSAIDs/asprin WILL thin your blood.

i would not take a tylenol before hand no matter what.

dont do this, is it worth dying to keep your job? thats just retarded.

Its not in my arm folks.. It is in the fatty area right above my junk and below my belly button.. I watched him put it in... It looks like a giant xannax bar im not worried about breaking the pellet.. I have a lidocaine patch strapped on the area right now..

Thanks for the reminder on blood thinning.. Also is surgical glue basically the same thing as locktight?

I am aware of the formal artery but that is no where near my waist line.. correct me if I am wrong.. is there any veins in the area? I cannot tie off my waist and see if there is a rise down there.

They wouldnt put it by a artery.

I think this should stay open, real life.

Peace,

Oh and my friend didnt die from removing the implant I believe his was a T shaped one, but he OD and died about a year later. Stay safe

So it seems as if it is located in the abdomen area, like where an appendix removal would be... Since that is your "core" area then it may be hard to keep the cut closed, hence the doc giving stitches. So make sure you have proper bandages, like butterfly bandaids, or whatever other people may know about for keeping a wound closed.

As much of this thread makes my skin crawl, (and I hope fatkid paramedic doesn't go through with this), I think asking about it IS harm reduction.

Correct me if I'm wrong - this site is about people using drugs despite the risks, and others providing a resource to minimise those risks/harm.

Well our friend fatkid paramedic is telling us he's going to cut the implant out (*shudder*), despite the risks, and he's asking for advice on how to minimise those risks.

Isn't telling him not to do it and go see a doctor the equivalent to saying "don't do drugs"?
