Hi Guys,

These forums are over the SWIM thing right? It always annoyed the bi-jissus out of me!

Anyway, I started Subutex treatment last week and was given a 7 day script and sent on my merry way. The self-destructive urge was running strong and I decided it
would be alright to have some Crack on it's own. The prang proved to be to much and I ended up using. I've just used my last bit and I won't use anymore.

I have an appointment with my key-worker to get my script renewed in 53 hours. I'm sure that I'll come back positive as I did last week (when I went to start the treatment) and I hadn't used for 96 hours.

I'd rather be honest with them and tell them as I'm not big on lies and I'm sure the tests (strips they dip in ya wee-wee) don't come cheap. However, I'm worried about what will happen - I'm new to any kind of treatment. Will they stop my script? If not, will it affect my chances of getting 14 days worth to go abroad on a trip with my University?

As I've been foolishly using, I've been diverting my daily dose (8mg) at the pharmacy so I have about 4 days supply at hand. if I think they will stop my script, I could delay he appointment until I am confident that the gear is gonna-bye-bye. However, will this have any possible negative outcomes? Will it be obvious what I am doing? They'll want to know how I got by without but they already know I have a street source of them as I used some street subbies to do the initial cold turkey and wanted a script to use as a blocker and craving reduction tool.

Thanks for help in advance.

I think you will be good I was on suboxone and given 3 strikes I failed one with Xanax bars I was honest with the doctor and told em about my anxiety he prescribed 1mg klonopin twice a day. Just remember a slip up happens sometimes don't beat urself up. I think you should be honest it helps anyone hope that helps msi.

it all depends on your doctor, I've been on and off suboxone maintenance for 4 years now and my first doctor was an asshole... but when I would test positive for H he wold still let me stay on his program. The doctor I see now also lets me stay on the program, even though I have failed countless drug tests with her.

what I am going to say is kind of fucked but I think its the honest truth... you see these doctors want you to stay on sub maintenance for as long as possible b/c they make hella money off of you. So the doctors, at least the once here in NJ, don't want to kick you out of their program b/c then they lose your business. So the doctors will keep giving you "chances" but in my experience they were just bluffing...

Of course this is just my experience with sub doctors, again every doc is different I read my stories here where the doctors kick them out for one failed test, but my situation is very different, maybe its just the state I live in

I wouldn't worry. They don't expect you to suddenly quit using all drugs in a week. Your key worker will probably try to set up a treatment plan that gets you the resource you need to find sobriety
