So Afoaf scored a g of "Molly" and I have access to a very accurate scale. To weigh the sample it was poured into a aluminum Petri dish. Well, some powder stuck to the dish and I don't know how to get it off without wasting it. So my question is..... Can I use that left over powder for my marquis test? Or will the aluminum cause a different reaction???
Also, any tips on recovering the stuck powder??
FYI the sample is mostly crystaline but some powder shake at the bottom. Any help is very appreciated.
Much love

Would it be normal for like 80mg to get stuck to the aluminum dish?
It seemed kinda strange to me. It is rather humid where I am but I was surprised by how much stuck to it.

huh.. not really, no. Then again I always put down a piece of "glassy" paper like a magazine so the powder won't stick to the scale. If you turn the dish upside down on a plate and give it a few hard taps I'm sure enough would fall out to do a test or two

Do yourself a favour and go to any high skool and track down the science teacher and ask for a petri dish:) you can thank me later. And contrary to whut you think .01 of a gram isint that accurate. Stil only accurate to +/-.02 so overall error could amount .03 under perfect atmospheric conditions. Just a little food for thought. Wanna fun experiment? Put a gram on ur scale and walk away for 10min. Com back and see whut it weighs
