So I just read in a forum to sprinkle a bit of Molly on tin foil and burn it and if it turns red that means it's pretty pure. Anyone ever hear of doing this? I grabbed a bag for tonight and can't get a testing kit anywhere. How else can I tell if it's real?

I've never heard of the tinfoil thing, but I do live in your area. I know for sure there's some pretty good orangey/brown crystals going around in the cleveland area and NE ohio. I'm sorry to say but the only real way to determine what you have is get it sent into a lab or buy a testing kit. Wish I could help you more :/

Many chemicals will turn red when on fire- I doubt this is a true way of testing without a reagent kit, if it was there would be little need for reagents.

I just want to say...

YAY for more NEO buelighters!!!!!!!

Oh yeah...burning molly to see what color the flame is sounds like a really stupid thing to waste your molly on.

Nobody mentioned this but I thought I should-the kits aren't very expensive, I think from DanceSafe its 50$ for a complete set. Totally worth it, imo, if you're not sure about your stuff. I was going to order a set but could not because of recent events in my personal life.

I had heard if you heat molly, if it leaves a black residue, its cut. I only say this as heating it would be reversing the crystallization process, reverting it back to a heavy oil, right? At least to a degree, I know some would be lost from the heat. Don't take my word for this btw, OP, I just added this as an aside out of curiosity.

I just want to give BIG props to the moderators for this site. They totally recommended getting a testing
kit and I did. I love knowing what I got my hands on. It takes most of the guess work out of my night.
I got a basic red reagent from dance safe for like $25 and I would recommend it to you too.

If you are doing e you should know what you are actually putting in your body. You could always sell the
kit if you stop. While its not 100% you can at least tell if your stuff is bunk or not or that its really in the MD family. It sure beats burning your stuff which is not going to tell you anything about it anyway.
