Testing MDxx Quantity?

Hi folks.
I understand that one can determine the absence of MDxx with testing kits.
Is there a simple way to test MDxx quantity in pills?
Thanx

Not really. A powder sample that fizzes and reacts quickly often indicates that the purity of MDXX is high, but not always. It's particularly difficult with pills as certain binders and excipients can effectively slow down the reactions, so formation of the color may be slow, yet a relatively high level of MDMA might be present.

Try testing sassafras oil. Turns black instantly on contact, even the smallest amount. Low quality MDMA can turn black very quickly

With a milligram scale, some solvents, a separatory funnel, and some patience, you can extract any of the amines your pill might have and weigh them. But this will measure the total alkaloidal content.

Sassafras oil turns a red-black before turning a darker brown-black. Doing the test on a piece of glass held under a good light should reveal noticeable differences to a typical MDMA test. I found that the acidified permanganate test (KMnO4 + EtOH + citric acid), while not surefire, will indicate the presence of the alkene (safrole) very quickly, while most amines take longer to react.
