Hello....I am considering either purchasing a testing kit or sending a pill(s) for testing contents. Which is the the most accurate? I guess maybe obvious would be the lab testing would be most accurate....but is the lab doing the same as the testing kits? I am not sure.....can anyone enlighten me? Thank you in advance for your help and advice.

Testing kits such as Mandelin, Marquis and Mecke can only indicate the possible presence of a substance. Lab testing usually involves Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS).

This is a far more accurate means of establishing the content. It can also be used as a quantitative test (how much is present) although most pill testing facilities offering this service AFAIK only state content in relation to the weight of the pill, or as a percentage of total of active ingredients present.
