Testing DXM powder

To all,

I was wondering if there where any type of tests one could use to see if a substance is really Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide. Simple at home tests would be the best. I know you can buy stuff for X. So I was hoping that there might be a way to test for the presence of DXM

It's a pretty safe guess that you weren't sold MDxx as DXM , so I'd think a Marquis test would be sufficient also. Doing both tests would be best.
