test kit color question?

What does it mean if the mecke goes instantly black, and even fizzles a bit but the marquis goes brown?
I mean i know black means mdxx substance but shouldnt the marquis follow suit?
there were a couple purple spots on the marquis after a while but it was mainly brown (meaning amp present).

also, when does a test kit go bad?

Hmm, that is an interesting result. The Marquis reaction would make me think amps, but the Mecke doesn't show it? Can you retest and take pics then post them here?

A kit can last anywhere from 6 months to a year, depending on storage. How long have you had yours?

and a bunch of my friends took some tonight and they roll monthly.
All of them are having a good time. so i guess they are good after all
but ill try testing again and taking a picture. where should i post the picture?

Someone had my test kit before me, but i started using it around May.
