Terror attack in NYC involving truck.

But we want to know what it is that'll turn you within these four years.

Curious if you feel that way about saddam or are you displaying full bias now?

Why do you think its bias? I thought you had Qaddafi confused with someone else, like Mubarrak. I still do.

Either way, no, Saddam Hussein was a bad guy and there weren't any tears shed from me at his passing.

SHould we have invaded a sovereign nation to murder its leader for no apparent reason? FUck no.

ETA: And if I said something different, it would be evidence of bias toward . . . what? Kind of apples and oranges.

Speaking of the death penalty, is treason still punishable by death?

You gotta understand, when the United States and the constitution was being written, there were fears of treason as a charge being misused as it had been by the British. So the charge of treason is the only criminal charge defined in the constitution and it's pretty specific.

As I recall, unless you are aiding an enemy country in war time, it's pretty much not treason.

Doh...meant to post...

The Uzbek government has confirmed the death of President Islam Karimov, six days after he was taken to hospital with a suspected brain haemorrhage.

One of Asia's most authoritarian leaders, Mr Karimov, 78, died after 27 years in power.
His funeral will be overseen by Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev, seen as a potential successor.

Rights groups say Mr Karimov repressed opposition to his rule but for supporters he represented stability.

He will be buried on Saturday in his home city of Samarkand and three days of mourning will be observed.

I was being a little facetious, i just think it's outrageous for trump to call for the execution of someone that hasn't had his day in court.

The guy is a tin-pot dictator, and i'm pretty incredulous that how indifferent his supporters and apologists are to preserving democracy and respecting human rights.

I have a pretty good fix on the two men and Im not confused in any aspect with the former libyan ruler or egyptian.

But lets pivot to Uzbekistan, or Turkmenistan.

Sadly it doesn't surprise me anymore. Remember the appalling shit politicians said about having Snowden extrajudicially assasinated?

Sometimes I wonder how much movies play a roll in this. Art imitates life then life imitates art. Writers write their nightmares about the worst of what they hear and imagine in the US government, but in doing so normalize and perpetuate it.

Any politician, let alone the president, of a democratic country has not business saying such things. I remember how appalled I was when Obama's said that shit about how Trayvon Martin could have been his son and in doing so made a fair trial all the more difficult. Whatever your political opinion on that subject, the president has no business biasing people like that either for or against. This is much the same if you ask me.

Politicians and especially presidents often fail to recognize when they should keep their opinions to themselves. They might not be legally required too but they are morally and ethically required to.

The president has a duty not just to follow the law but go the extra mile in preserving the spirit of the law and the constitution. But the seldom do.

I don't put trump in the category of a normal politician.
They are often cynically calculating, whereas trump is just a dangerous, undisciplined loose cannon.

I don't think he needs to keep his opinions to himself, but i wish he understood that opinions are not the same thing as facts, and that he's destroyed any chance of a fair trial in this case.
It's just one "new low" after another with the guy, but it's chipping away at democracy. The longer it goes on, the more damage he'll do.
He's unfit to govern, and he's got to go.

I dunno. I always knew the president didnt make law....and these judges make his executive power seem impotent. Maybe you are just experiencing the so called "trump derangement syndrome.". Im supposed to respect the fact your a communist so....not sure.

Uzbekistan....or any stan!!
