You "equal" 30mg temazepam to 1mg clonazepam, and then talk about spreading misinformation?
Let's clear up a few things....
1)
20mg temazepam = 0.5mg clonazepam = 0.5mg alprazolam = 10mg diazepam = 1mg lorazepam
2)
Equivalency charts are not based on users subjective experiences.... Everyone reacts differently, YMMV. Equivalency charts are based on scientific data.
3)
Temazepam is indeed a strong hypnotic benzodiazepine, I have no idea why you're questioning this. Temazepam is prescribed for anxiety in some countries but it is not common. This is undoubtedly due to it's signature anxiolytic and anticonvulsant properties.
4)
It's primarily used as a hypnotic worldwide, of course the prescribing practices vary country by country, state by state, doctor by doctor. Temazepam is usually used as second or third line of treatment after weaker hypnotics (like z-drugs) fail. In some countries, temazepam is the first line of treatment for insomnia.
According to the following commonly accepted equivalency chart, zolpidem and temazepam are equipotent milligram by milligram. From my own experiences I can say that 30mg temazepam is MUCH better and would seem to be many times more potent than 30mg zolpidem. Zolpidem and other z-drugs are ineffective, dangerous, and in my opinion, lack a lot of their advertised therapeutic value. Zolpidem does not give me any hypnotic effect no matter how high the dose, just a bunch of shitty side effects.
Everyone reacts differently to drugs, that doesn't make the equivalency charts wrong.
