I know I'm not "100% right", because it totally depends on the doctor and even where she lives, but because she is pregnant I really don't think they'll force her to quit without at least giving her a different opioid. If they try that tell her to see a different doctor. It's important she be completely honest about how much hydrocodone she has been taking, that is very important for the doctor to know and will actually improve her chances of getting to keep her meds, be given more meds or be given another opioid, and it will improve the doctor's ability to determine appropriate care for the baby once it is born. Tricomb also has a good point that they need to know how much APAP (acetaminophen, paracetemol, Tylenol) she has been taking because hydrocodone pills normally contain a lot of APAP and it's not healthy to take a lot of APAP - they may switch her to something without the APAP.
