Teen drugged parents’ milkshakes

"Milkshakes tasted bitter and felt crunchy" but they drank part of em anyways? Idiots

"Only drank a quarter and still passed out" idiot kid too, if they drank the whole thing could've gone downhill quick. Learn your dosages dumbass, could've easily killed the parents.

I've never understood stories like this, and similar situations in movies commonly. Somebody grinding multiple pills into a drink when even a small speck would be noticeably bitter, and the victim is that stupid? Really? There are so many pills that either taste good or have no taste, and there are drugs that are active at such small doses, why use some giant bitter pill?

When I was a young stupid stoner, this idea crossed my mind many times, just as a fantasy though. But I mean why not do something like bupe in OJ, or Ativan in soda, those would never, ever be noticed. Or if you're gonna use a bitter pill, put it in coffee or something at least, sheesh. Also, at least be familiar with the drug your using- active dose/lethal dose etc

To be fair, I don't think we really know the full story on the relationship between the teenager and her parents. If her vengeance is this finely attuned then who did she learn it from? Your family has to be pretty fucked up if the child is drugging the parents. People are assuming she's a psychopath but maybe her family in general has no boundaries.

When I was 14 and extremely depressed with social anxiety, missing school like crazy, etc., my own father wouldn't believe my mental condition. He decided to blame my computer use, and locked the computer room door. He treated me like a deliquent even though I was very introverted and sad. At the time, my computer was the only outlet I had to talk to other people. I also had an online blog to vent my life frustrations. Him taking away the computer from me made me spiral. I took revenge on him by taking away all of the remotes to his television and sound system, and I broke off the manual channel changing buttons. He was a TV addict and I refused to give him back access to the television until he sat down and listened to my grievances. My plan worked. Does that make me a psychopath? I ended up in counseling, on medication, the whole 9 yards, and eventually I got better - but it was all due to my rebellions at home. My father now regrets doing what he did.

I know drugging her parents was extreme and I don't approve, but maybe the underlying feelings of helplessness were what made her take action?

I wonder if she was trying to kill them, and said she was trying to make them sleep once busted.

Startin to sound like an easily aquired rc phenezapam(i think?), I just rec'd something based with it from super fun cave
a pump aresol, 3-4 pupmps is rec dosage. I haven't had the 8+ hours needed to try it

Sound like just about anything but phenazepam. Bitter crunchy pills from a powder active at 1-2 mg? Try again. Bitter taste? Ambien, or better yet, the worst tasting sleeper on the planet, zopiclone.

My oh my. And I thought my generation was fucked.

good lord lol, this girl is on her way to the looney bin at some point in her life im willing to bet. would ambien show up as a benzo on a drug test? my guess would be a benzo too, if it was say 2mgs of halcion they would be out like a light. too bad it wasnt ghb, she could have date raped them hah.

I love this post. I usually don't read the long ones but this one really drew me in.

True psychopathy CAN be treated. It involves reward, and not punishment, as punishment fails to alter the behaviour of the psychopath.

High-functioning psychopaths are extremely adept at changing their behaviour-patterns if they logically see the rewards for doing so. Self-aware psychopaths (high-functioning) CAN see their behaviours as "wrong", but not the same way as a neurotypical person. They often develop "prosthetic" moral/ethical compasses to navigate the world with, and can use these tools to alter "inappropriate" behaviour. Yes, however, they will only do so if they see the benefit to themselves that they will gain.

The key to treating psychopathy is extremely early intervention, reward-based therapy, and the active promotion of high-functioning psychopathy through various means such as education.

If the psychopath is low-functioning, forget it, yes, it's not likely to work. But if you can increase the functioning of psychopaths by early intervention, then you have something to work with. They will still act directly in THEIR best interest, not the interests of others; however, higher functioning psychopaths can recognize that, often, benefiting those around them and behaving in certain patterns that are acceptable to society IS in THEIR best interest.

Psychopathy CAN be treated. The problem is we start treating it FAR too late, when even reward-based therapy is extremely difficult.

If you don't think that high-functioning psychopathy is a a real phenomenon, then ask yourself why, in areas such as academia, politics, business, law, etc. the rate of psychopathy is ~3 times more prevalent than the 2-3 percent rate in the general population. The answer is that successful psychopaths will prevail in such fields only by naturally developing a high-functioning state in order to maintain useful behaviour patterns while trashing/modifying those that harm them. If they fail to develop higher-functioning, then they will end up as career criminals or self-destruct otherwise.

Psychopathy can be adaptive. It doesn't mean you're a serial killer, rapist, corporate criminal, etc. It just means that if you WANTED to become one of those things, you could, without feeling any guilt, remorse, or shame. If a psychopath is molded by experience properly, then the whole game is changed.
