That would be cool. Germ cells express telomerase IIRC... I wonder how that works re: not being cancerous by default.

Here's a poem for everybody for the first day of spring<3:

Spring

by Mary Oliver

Somewhere
a black bear
has just risen from sleep
and is staring

down the mountain.
All night
in the brisk and shallow restlessness
of early spring

I think of her,
her four black fists
flicking the gravel,
her tongue

like a red fire
touching the grass,
the cold water.
There is only one question:

how to love this world.
I think of her
rising
like a black and leafy ledge

to sharpen her claws against
the silence
of the trees.
Whatever else

my life is
with its poems
and its music
and its glass cities,

it is also this dazzling darkness
coming
down the mountain,
breathing and tasting;

all day I think of her—
her white teeth,
her wordlessness,
her perfect love.
 
It is autumn down here in Aussie land, but my day is going well regardless thanks lovely, and the weather is fiiiiine %)

Wow how ignorant of me x.x I completely forgot the entire world isn't north america for a second lol. (typical american mindset) I don't know if you guys enjoy youtube channels but I absolutely love this girl her name is Natalie and her youtube channel is called Community Channel. She's from Sidney she is just absolutely the best. You guys will get a laugh at her skits. You probably will more n3o because she throws in some of what I presume as Aussie humor.

I am grand :-D. I don't know if you girls have issues with shirts but I can never find shirts at regular stores that fit comfortably. They're either too tight or too thin or both. So I went on a search for a tie dying kit so that I can buy those thick 100% cotton generic shirts and tie dye them. No luck today D-:. I'll have to continue that search online. Where do you guys buy shirts that don't suck?
 
was going through some old writings of mine, stumbled across this poem i wrote like 3 or 4 years ago. thought i'd share it with you dark siders.

"flights of fancy"

there will be no honor in my death
i won't be found with note in hand
no artifacts to be left behind
i'll be found with no clothes on
some triumphant music playing far too loud
the smell of smoke in the air

whatever is found, it won't be planned
it won't be to make a point
a cry for help
a search for something better
or a protest to this world
it will be selfish
it will be unforgiveable
without warning
it will be me giving up, for good

when i was young, i had a chance
to redeem every mistake i made
now i'm grown, and i just can't
be held accountable for everything
the things i do, the words i say
the way i live from day to day
it's all imperfect, and i can't stand
it is all i wish to press re
set up my life again
if i had a wish, i'd be unstuck
get off this path
dismiss it all
i wish i could...

guess what?
i can

i can take off, i can give up
i can leave you here alone
not worry about my life anymore
is it escape? assumably not
my best hope's for existence to cease
all i'll leave will be this body
this living corpse i possess

i will leave,without warning
on a perfect day
it will be the last thing you need

thanks guys. i rarely feel inspired to write. in the last 5 years i've written like four poems and lyrics for maybe four songs.

here's a more recent one... a positive message to balance out the negativity of the other one

there are many meanings assigned to the word "love"
but only two are of my concern today
the first is love as a feeling
and the second is love as an act

these two forms of love are intertwined
with one often leading to the other

too often, though, people wait for the feeling
never making it around to the action
however, it is far nobler to begin with love as an act
knowing that the feeling is soon to follow

Is it sort of creepy that the poem you just posted about is exactly what was on my mind before I checked this post? Like seriously the EXACT same thing.
 
^^That is such an interesting way of looking at love. You are right most people don't take the time to separate and look at the two meanings individually. Again, very beautiful. We need more poetry over here I'm glad you decided to share it here and not just words. I never check words. Too boring for some reason. It was such a pleasure reading.
