^^ Good to hear you're in a good mood today lovely! <3

Yeah, most of NZ does look pretty sexual.

Haha dude! That made me laugh :D

It's true though, NZ rocks. I've only been to the South Island, but it was absolutely incredibley beautiful! I want to go back :)

My most coveted holiday destination is this:

Glass igloos!! <3

I would stay there in a second. Winter night skies are unbeatable.

Showing my ignorance a bit: is NZ South enough to get a fair bit of aurora?

^^ Sometimes, right at the most-southern parts. As is the same in Tasmania, the southern island of Australia. But it doesn't happen nearly as often as the aurora borealis, that's for damn sure.

Augh I've been to Alaska 3 times (with at least 2 week stays) and northern lights happen RIGHT AFTER I GO HOME. Every time.
And I went to Iowa once, came home, my dad stayed for a week longer and saw northern lights all the way in Iowa.
I'm SO jealous.

I'd like to say that while my roommate finds it annoying that our other roomie's kids are here for the entire summer, I'm happy about it.
It's hot in the house so I leave the door to my room open. If the door's open...can't smoke pot b/c the kids are/will be home! Perfect, because I've been wanting to cut back for a while and just didn't have that push I needed until they showed up.

Plus those kids are freaking cool as hell.
What a great summer!
I'm having a great time, I'm not sitting around all day, and I'm not spending too much money on smoking.
I'm gonna see if I can get this to last after the kids are gone too :)

^^ Sounds great hun! Yeah, it can't hurt to have a bit of a cut-down/break from smoking :)

Haha ocean, "less zebra-ish" :D
I agree! :)

I am dying to see an aurora!! We definitely don't get them at this latitude. One of my life goals is to see the northern lights somewhere in Scandinavia <3

I'd like to go to Interlaken in Switzerland. It seems like a cool little ski community.

It is full of American tourists. Not to rain on your parade, but I'd rather go elsewhere in Europe. My favorite city by far is London. I love the culture, the pub food, and the history.

I would love to be a professional traveler. Hey n3o, got a couch?

I've been bitten by the travel bug lately. My father of all people has told me to follow my heart and promised me funding. I told him to save his money, but he won't listen. I think I'm done with Portland. I'd like to take my dad to New Zealand for his 60th next March. With a lot of work and a bit of luck, we will see the sights there in 2011.

In the meantime, I am going to Buffalo and Toronto to visit my mother's family and my friends. I need a new computer so I can telecommute as I need to work before more tax school in the fall.

I will visit my mother's grave for the first time since her funeral 13 years ago. I will tell her how much I miss her and that I will continue to live my life with her love and guidance.

Sure do hun. I can go one step better than that, I've got a double-sized guest bed =D <3

This is so beautiful 'posa, I wish you all the best with that journey when it comes <3

J&H-- I agree with Mariposa, Interlaken isn't that great. Bavaria is pretty awesome, but I'm biased because I have family there. The area around Garmisch right on the German/Austrian border is pretty sweet, and is only an hour or so's drive from Innsbruck.

My favorite place was Firenze (Florence). It was like stepping back into the Renaissance. The Boboli Gardens were awesome, so was the Ponte Vecchio, and il Duomo. The one of the Pieta was there. That trip also comprised of Venezia (Venice), Milano (Milan), and Roma (Rome). All together, it was a pretty awesome trip. We also stopped by Murano and Burano, Murano had houses that were painted like a crayola crayon box, each a different color, it was pretty cool. We also went to some off the beaten path places like San Gimignano. It was a good thing I could speak passable Italian, or we would have missed out on a lot of things.

PT, let's travel together! Grab a passport and we shall! The best investments I've made have been related to travel.

I really did need some time off after tax season. While my computer is in the shop, I have a few library books and loads of DIY projects.

I've refused to visit my mom's grave until now. My psychiatrist thinks I need closure and I'm deferring to his judgment. My aunts and cousins visit her often. I have a very different belief system than my mother and that side of the family (they are very strict Catholics; I am agnostic). I have big plans to honor my mother's life. I am going with medical advice for now. My shrink is a good egg.

Dave, I'm probably going through Edmonton (it's there or Calgary) and I can likely extend an evening if I plan it correctly. I will let you know! May just be horrible airport food, but I promise laughter and good conversation. :)

I miss Tobala a lot today. I hope he has found peace. He was like an older brother to me. I tell myself when I get to dark places in my mind that he would want me to live and thrive and never to give up on my dreams. <3

Not much, just finishing the detox and getting my shit together.
Travel Mari? Where? I have a passport if you have the money ;)

Mari-- Woo! If you're able to swing enough time to get away from the airport even for a couple of hours I know just the place to go for a great bite and good chat. Although, most flights do go through Calgary rather than Edmonton... either way, let me know.

Speaking of planes, there must be something going on up in Mordor (i.e. Ft. Mac), as there have been little jets flying over my place every few minutes for the last 45 min or so. I'm under the flight path south of our little bastard airport (that was supposed to have been closed over a decade ago thank you very much). Only oil execs and the rare wealthy hobby pilot fly out of it, but there has been a ton of traffic tonight.

I want to go on a holiday :(
I have hardly EVER had the desire to travel, but all this travel talk makes me want to go on a holiday somewhere farrrr away from here.

Well let's face it, pretty much everything is farrrr far away from Aus =D

Dave! Zoidberg is dancing to the exact beat of the track I'm listening to!! Hahaha classic :D

Awesome!!

I just wanted to say that I absolutely adore my dog so much. He is my little mate. I've been pretty sad these last few days and even though he's only little, he lets me give him the biggest hugs =D
<3 Cosby <3

Who else is appreciating their pets right now??
