TDS Photo Thread Vs. Snow Day!

@herbavore Yep he's been with us since he was 9 and is in great health <3
We had a family vacation to the U.S for a month when I was a teenager, and I really wanna go back.A month wasn't nearly long enough.
And if you ever come to Australia, you're welcome to come for and stay at my parent's place. I always take international visitors there, and they love it :)

@tripnotyzm Yay another Sydney sider! :)
Lol about the kangaroos with their boxing ring, were they red kangaroos?
We rescued a joey when I was a kid,and brought him up in the house. He used to come and jump into bed with me in the morning :) Once he was old enough,he started boxing us a bit and getting stroppy (he'd reached sexual maturity),and then it was time to release him at a kangaroo sanctuary. They were on 1000 acres and had lots of hand reared kangaroos on the property.

@spork If you ever come over, you're welcome to come to my parent's place like herbavore :) There's a wildlife park in Sydney that has tonnes of kangaroos and you can walk right up and feed them by hand and pat them.I love it there :)

lol MissNervosa I'm trying to figure out which general area of Sydney you're in just judging by your posts! :D Only to test my knowledge of Sydney, because I've lived here my whole life and was a sales rep for a few years so I know Sydney extremely well. (i.e. not because I'm a creeper and wanna know where you live... 8o :) )

Absolutely beautiful <3 I miss you herby!!

Lol it's a sleepy little suburb near Parra with a useless train line :)

Today I went to my favorite beach and on the way down the cliffs I saw this little otter that was busily eating his lunch (they float on their backs and put the crab or abalone on their belly and crack the shell with a rock) when this duo of seagulls came down and started trying to get it away from him. It's not the greatest picture but it was the best I could do with my zoom.

gahhhhh, that's so effin' cute!!! =D I love watching otters. Poor little guy, I hope he ended up being able to eat his lunch :)

MoE I can't believe I missed your picture. That face!!! I've missed you man :(. Librium lolol that stuff. Here's the best explanation of my experience with librium in rehab using the limited selection of emoticons BL offers: =D 8o 8( :) :? :) :? :) :? :sus: :) :? :) :? :? :?

Bahahaha, librium: NOOOOOOOOOOOO

Beautiful shots, Herby. Makes me want to take a plunge from a cliff side.

Jan, OH MY FREAKIN GOD, the color of the water in that picture. Is that true to color or was it distorted by the camera?

I've never seen an otter :( They sound awesome. Yanno how Caleb had Bun Bun, my friend Ashley had an otter with a clam in it's hands as stuffed animal her daddy gave her as a kid. It was soooo cute.

I remember being so frazzled in rehab from internet stims and just signing my name everywhere trying to get them to leave me alone. They're like you should read this and I'm like x.x, and then after the signing they're like take this and I'm like what is it and they're like a benzodiazepine and I'm like "okay, good, I'll take that" thinking I'm getting something that was going to help my situation.

But no, it didn't help at all. lol <3

Without a doubt, sea otters are amongst the cutest animals in the world! Did you know that the moms will loosely tie their babies up to nap in a strand of kelp in a kelp bed so that they can leave them and go hunt for food? Every time I go through a kelp bed in a kayak I hope I see one tied up but I never have.

Here's another picture: I went to the beach in the first place because I was having a really bad day missing Caleb. That beach is very much connected to him in my mind. It's where I came when he was alive to feel better, where we came together to feel better and where I come now. But when I get there, now, I sometimes have this terrible thing happen where I get even sadder because I expect to see him coming down the cliff-path to meet me. I found a perfect heart rock on the way down and then I found a little piece of charcoal in the sand and asked a question. I didn't get an answer but asking opened the door for possibility and it made me feel better. Plus, I love charcoal!

^That's beautiful Herb. So often your posts are so bitter-sweet, and I'm not sure whether to :( or :) or both. I'm thinking both here, but a :) is winning out. <3

I like your otter too. One of the great disappointments of my life so far is that despite lots and lots of time spent roaming all up the west coast of Scotland, and all over Devon in the south west of England, prime otter territory the both of them, I've yet to see one in the wild. Well, maybe great disappointment is slightly over-stating things, but still . . . . :P One of my favourite animals without question. One day I'll see one and be all small boy at Xmas with excitement. So cool to have them nearby you like that.

Aww Jan :) that is beautiful. You are beautiful and a gift to all of us <3. I love you so. The rock is absolutely amazing too, so perfect, it looks like it had been carved. Every time I see a rabbit I think of him. And every time I see your bouts of love for him I feel so many emotions and the beauty that life has <3. I wouldn't be the same without you two.
