@ Malakaix --that is one of those moments that is surreal in all the beauty contained in it. That is stunning, man. Was the water in that lake warm?

Thanks herbavore; yeah the lake was one of the warmest I've ever been in, like a giant warm bath :)

By the way, absolutely love your painting! looks so lifelike.

Here is a photo of me and Jess (my missing fiance):

Everyone always said we were a beautiful couple and that if they ever saw one of us and not the other they would say "It's like you're missing your left arm!". She is the most amazing girl I have ever met, a very rare person. A very special person. A little girl at heart who has lived a life that could easily have tainted her personality and created a monster. I fear though that I may have taken her for granted and failed to provide her with what she needed. In fact, what she deserved - and she didn't ask for much, at all.

I miss you Jessie. <3

@ Motherofearth - Digging that hair style bro :)

@ Michael - That is a mind blowing photo!

@ N3ophy7e - It must be so hard for you both. You truly look well suited for one another. <3

These are some pics my boyfriend took around my parent's property. We ended up making a calendar with them as an xmas gift to my parents last year.It was so cute, they were sooo thrilled with it and my Dad still proudly shows it to any visitors, and refuses to use it as a normal wall calendar as "it might get damaged".My Dad is impossible to buy for,so I'm pretty happy :)

Down in the bush (they are on 100 acres backed by national parklands),so there is a lot of bush!

Gorgeous pics MissNervosa!! I'm from Sydney too :) Currently living in the city, so not that much bush around my place. But I grew up on a farm out near Camden so I love the bush <3

Oh cool, another Sydney sider :D I haven't really met many since signing up here.I once spent an ill-fated weekend at Camden Valley Inn.Lovely place, but not great company at the time.I like the bush in small doses...I grew up just outside a small coastal town, and didn't fit in at all.

I envy you living in the city.I've always been an eastern suburbs girl, and moved to Parramatta because of my boyfriend's job. It's a jungle out here :sus:

MN, such beautiful pictures. That's a cool idea with the calendar. I agree, parents, especially fathers are difficult to buy for. I love the Palm tree in the 2nd to last picture. Palms are my favorite =D.

motherofearth - you have an awesome style %)

michael - I lovethe sky in that pic! Simply amazing. The colours, the shapes and lines, are all reminiscent of a comic or an old poster to me.

sleepwalker - your gang are all gorgeous! You're very lucky <3

Miss N - beautiful pics, what a lovely place! I'm so jealous, I love the bush, and that looks like a wonderful place to be able to go :)

n3o - you look so happy <3 I hope you're reunited asap!

Ashley - I hope you're holding up as best as can be <3

Thank you :) My boyfriend took all the pics the first time he visited, and went walking all through the bush and discovered bits we'd forgotten. It was really cool seeing the property through the eyes of someone new to it.

We got both our parents calendars last year.Snapfish had a pic per month one for $15,and the quality was fantastic. For my parents it was all bushland and some pets, and my boyfriend's parents one was all pics of family occasions and pets,so they were kinda themed.Definitely going to be doing it again this year :)

It is really nice to get away for a week or so there.

Their property is called Kangaroo Hill as it's a long way back from the road on a hill, and as soon as you get to their bottom gate, you're guaranteed to see at least 6 or 7 (but up to 25 have been spotted at one time) kangaroos bouncing through the paddocks (especially cool when they have joeys).

Mum was just telling me the other day that she got up at 7am and opened the curtains only to see a kangaroo about a metre away near the verandah! They also have a family of possums that they feed each night, and magpies and kookaburras they leave food out for. They run an animal rescue sanctuary, and have an insane amount of cats and dogs.

Oh and not to forget Norman,an ex-trotter who was rescued from a trip to the glue factory, and seems to think he's a dog,as he's tried walking through the front door many times! He's still going strong at age 33 <3

^33??!!!! What a lucky guy.:)

I want to visit Australia so badly. If I ever do, though, I can see it will have to be a very long trip as there are so many different areas that look too amazing to miss. Like visiting the U.S. It is so huge and diverse that it is next to impossible to see very much in one trip.

Very cool, MissNervosa.
The Australian wildlife still amazes me.
Im also living in Sydney. Woo!!!
I once saw a group of about 20 kangaroos standing around in a circle.
2 would enter the circle and start boxing with one another, then they would exit and another 2 would follow. So on & so forth.
Was pretty crazy!

I really really want to see some roos in their natural habitat. Going to Aus has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I used to be obsessed with and collect kangaroo things, I still have most of them :D

MoE I can't believe I missed your picture. That face!!! I've missed you man :(. Librium lolol that stuff. Here's the best explanation of my experience with librium in rehab using the limited selection of emoticons BL offers: =D 8o 8( :) :? :) :? :) :? :sus: :) :? :) :? :? :?

Today I went to my favorite beach and on the way down the cliffs I saw this little otter that was busily eating his lunch (they float on their backs and put the crab or abalone on their belly and crack the shell with a rock) when this duo of seagulls came down and started trying to get it away from him. It's not the greatest picture but it was the best I could do with my zoom.

and here's the beach. Blue, blue day. Blue hills across the bay, bluest sky, and more different hues of blue in the ocean than I've seen in a while.
